The Difference Between Aqua and Teal

He says it simply has to do with the ratio of blue to green. The hue - brightness or darkness - is only about how much white or black is added to a color.

Aqua - blue with a hint of green
Teal - a more or less even mix of blue and green. It's a pretty generic name right now for blue-green combos.
Turquoise - green with blue

I agree with Doreena....if you look at my samples above, half of them are supposed to be teal and have of them are supposed to be aqua....and they look the SAME! Alison

LOL thanks for the clarification... I wasn't sure on this either. To me, pretty much everything is teal. Some things are light teal, some things are deep teal, and some are just teal. I never think to use aqua. LOL.
