Printing on 12x12 vellum paper.

Duh! I am so silly.. i was just trying to fit as many announcements onto a 12x12 as possible (they are approximately 4x5 each). But as you suggested (and the Kinkos guy suggested) we are just cutting the 12x12 down to 8.5x11 and then printing 4 announcements on each paper. It actually worked out well using their laser copier machine so we don't have to actually use a laser printer.

Exactly how big are the individual announcements? i'm confused as to why you would need to print on 12x12 sheet. if they are going to be a certain size, see if kinkos can cut them down a bit, say in half or so, thenprint out what you need, say two announcements per half sheet or so, then cut them down to the correct size. i hope this doesn't confuse you further but perhaps if you could tell us the dimensions of the finished product we could offer better advise.

the other thing you can do is print the announcement onto regular paper, then use a pen/marker to trace the words onto the vellum, it would be more personal than printed anyway, even though it would take longer.

Or cut your vellum to the size you need and print on that - if it needs to be smaller than 8.5 x 11 then you can use tape to adhere it to a regular piece of paper to run it through the printer, then take it off the paper - and there you go- printed vellum :-)

I am sorry to say that unless you purchase a 12 X 12 or larger printer you may be out of luck. My only suggestion would be to trim the paper to 8 1/2 x 11 so it fits your printer. Sorry I can't give you any other suggestions!

Hello! I am a newbie here and to the general world of scrapbooking! I decided to embark on the project of making birth announcements for our baby (due next month) not realizing I would be diving into a world of vellums, cardstocks, eyelets.. a world unknown to me up until this point.
Anyway, the basic idea of the birth announcement is this, a piece of white cardstock overlayed with some patterened vellum.. here is the one i bought:

The vellum will be printed with the actual announcement and the cardstock and vellum stuck together with some pastel green eyelets.
Now after buying the vellum, I cannot seem to figure out where I can get something printed on it. I understand it needs a laser-jet printer which the local Kinkos has.. but they said they dont accept 12x12 size paper! What do I do? Where do I get something printed on the vellum??
