Also, I would put something between each one to keep them from absorbing any acid on the front of one from the back of another. You might even want to get some copies of them made. You can use a color copier and request acid free paper from the copy place. Also, if you use these original, you should mat them, and then put them on the page to give any extra absorption of damaging chemicals some distance between the photo and the actual page. It just really depends on how fanatical you are about acid and/or how much money you want to spend on professional photo restoration which could restore your photos to as close to original condition as possible. Good Luck

I think that once you remove the pictures from the magnetic albums, you stop the damage. So if you put them all together in a photo-safe box, no further damage should occur. I store my rescued photos in acid-free/photo safe albums with slip-on sleeves or pockets until I can scrap them. Pioneer has a few inexpensive ones. Also try Un-du to remove the pictures if stringing a dental floss under the picture doesn't work. Undu is available in most craft stores. Good luck!
I am still new at this. I have removed all pictures from the dreded Magnetic Albums which did cause damage to a lot of my pictures. The question is...should I keep these photos away from one's that have not been damaged? Will it hurt to keep them together in a photo safe box until they have been put in a album?
