You mean you guys stop scrapping because people are asleep? okay, there are ways around that...if you want to sink the money into it, a screw punch is an anywhere punch with interchangable tips that you DON'T HAVE TO HAMMER!!! There is also this big eyelet press thing that also sets eyelets silently, but that is a small fortune. Usually what I do is take my self healing mat out to the patio, where the ground is concrete, and do it there...all you hear is the gentle clink clink of the metal on metal and no one wakes up or complains (I live in an apt.!)

I love making memories brand eyelets and snaps.. I used an off brand (don't know which it came in a kit from two busy moms.. but didn't like those near as well cause they didn't split as nice as the MM brand!

I just bought the snaps/flatheads and haven't used them yet, but I love eyelets and yes you can use the bedazzler thingies just like nailheads. They work great, especially if you want gemstone looks for your layouts.

But man, when you are angry, what a better way to vent your frustration. I thought stabbing potatoes to go in the microwave was good, banging eyelets wins that contest.

I love the eyelets snaps I don't seem to use as much and nailheads I want really bad but I can only find them a few places and they seem kinda expensive like $2 something for only 12 thats crazy...

Yes, Yes, Yes! Eyelets are great therapy. They should be included iin Anger Management classes!

I like brads because they are so simple and come in several shapes.
I have not tried eyelets because they seem more complicated.
The nailheads sound interesting and simple to use.

Push the nailhead onto the cardstock so the prongs stick through and then bend the prongs to attatch them. I've heard it works well to put an old mousepad under the cardstock when you push the prongs through.

nailheads are little metal "toys" that come in many shapes. They have four little prongs in the back that you push through the paper and then bend back to secure them.

The flat heads, also known as snaps, just need a little less umph and a little more love!! If you just give them one good bop with the hammer and setter, then use only your hammer, it works better.

BUT to answer seebee's question. You need a hammer, a hole punch and a setter to use eyelets or snaps (flat heads). There are differant types and sizes of setters, but try to find one with three heads, that way you only have to make one purchase. For a hole punch, you also need three sizes, and the anywhere hole punches work best because you can place a eyelet anywhere on the page.

I love flat head eyelets!! They have a classy look for holding vellum journaling on cardstock! I use them a lot.

Thanks, I was just wondering if it was the same thing as the Bedazzler thingie. Walmart has the doo hickies for it on clearance, and they look like nail heads. So I think they will work.

Gotta get my pics tomorrow, I may pick up a pack and compare them with yours.

Missy, I have lots of nailheads. One of my design teams sells them. When I get my box out of hock, I will bring everything to the crop one night for you to see (and maybe play with).

Gosh, I thought I was on top of things, but I have never seen/heard about snaps!!

I do love eyelets, though. They are a lot of fun. So are brads and nailheads!
