I need an inexpensive way to store my 12 x 12 paper. I don't have a scrapbook room so I have to store everything in a closet and drag it out. So I need some thing I can put a lid on and store thing on top of it without getting my paper messed up. Any ideas?????
I think that there is an Iris cart that holds 12x12 paper - it would have wheels and you can store stuff on top. I've seen one at walmart. Also I've seen portable plastic cases that hold 12x12 paper flat. You may want to do a search in the super store to see what they have - or google 12x12 paper storage and see what comes up!
It's not flat, but I just got a Cropper Hopper file from the superstore, and I was really impressed with how much paper it holds in a small space. It's only about 4" wide, I think, so it doesn't take up much room. Depending on how much paper you have, it might be worth considering.
a FREE durable way would be to get you some 12 inch Priority Mail boxes...they are super sturdy and free and I have even known girls who alter them to make them pretty.
I bought 12x12 hard clear cases that snap on top from Michael's. I'm sorry I can't remember the brand! I store them flat and standing upright. I also have some Protect n store boxes. They come in 12x12 and 8 1/2 x 11 I think?
I was going to say pizza boxes as well. I use them, plus I store a big amount of mine in a huge plastic storeage container, lol. It holds alot of my DCWV stacks and various others.
I use the 3 tray plastic one from Walmart ... I like it b/c you can put pp in one drawer, cs in another ... And they slide out so you can easily access them.
Very compact too and you can stack on top of.
I've gone to Pizza boxes....
I have just done up Pizza Box draws for my design team work at Heaven-sent...

I have a rolling file box that I got from Office Depot, but I've seen one on Target's website. They run them 1/2 off sometimes. Mine cost about $15-$20. It has wheels on bottom, a removable lid and a telescoping handle. Then I put my paper in the cropper hopper paper things (they fit perfectly in the box)and still have room for other things. Then I stack my ribbon box and other big stuff on top and roll it away! If I'm going to a crop, I strap it all down with a bungee and go!
Creative Memories consultant paper pod with an ascending hanging file folder rack. I purchased 3 on evil-bay. Very portable, with a zip-off lid. Won't take a ton of weight on top, but enough. Love mine.
I saw a cool plastic iris type thing at Target the other day. It had like 6 or 8 "drawers"...each was more like a box though...they locked so that you could pull one out and take it with you...so hard to explain. sorry. it was very cool though. maybe try searching their website.
I was also going to say the priority mail boxes. You can go to the usps.com and order them FREE and the mail man will deliver them to your door.
I painted over the priority mail part with white paint then covered them with white contact paper. Then you can stamp whatever you want on them to match your room decor. I keep mine on a bookshelve and you can't even tell what is in them.
I bouyght the Crop In Style Stampers tote (around $50.00), and took the guts out. Get two of the Cropper Hopper vertical paper holders, stick them inside. You'll have to trim the tops off a little bit. BUT it works GREAT, holds tons of paper, is easy to stash in a closet, and goes to crops nicely (goes over the handle of your rolling tote and they are much nicer than the paper taker tote). The front zip pocket holds my rub ons, or you could use it for scraps.
i got an accordian paper holder at AC Moore. I was looking for something that was on sale..let me tell you it holds a TON of paper. I have tons of paper and i was amazed that i dont even have all of it filled up yet! It is also portable which is great because I take it to crops. Check out AC Moore if you can..im not sure who makes it but it is defiantely worth it. It holds 12x12 paper perfectly.
I bought a plastic tote at Michael's for $24 just last month. There are three plastic folders that drop down inside of it and there's tons of room. The lid is actually a little flat storage tray with a smaller tray set inside.
I'm quite happy with it because there's so much room and when I went scrapbooking at my friend's house I just put the lid on and I was set.
