stamping on your layouts

I know alot of people use stamps in card making, but how many of you regularly stamp on your layouts. I have stamped and used my embossing heat gun, but never really thought it added to the page. and I suck at positioning rubber stamps. i have several alphabet sets in both rubber and foam stamps and never really thought the end result was breath taking. Today however, I bought an acrylic block for a set of clear stamps i had laying around the house. i also bought another alphabet set for the big price of $1. and i love it. so now i think i might actually use these stamps on layouts. i just wondered ways that others have used acrylic stamps in their layouts.

I like to stamp images and cut the out with a micro tip scissors, pop them off with foam adhesive. I enjoying layering, and coloring images in as well.

I tend to use stamps more for cards than my layouts, which is silly. somehow it just doesn't occur to me to use them on my layouts, with the exception of alphabets, those I do use onlayouts. I really need to use them more often!

I love my acrylic stamps and I'm always trying to find ways to incorporate them into my layouts. This layout is one that I used an acrylic owl stamp and solid cardstock to create my own pattern paper.

I just started using my stamps more with my layouts.
They make great backgrounds and when using the VersaMark it has a cool effect on colored cardstock.
And the layering I do as well, but I really need to maybe do some embossing on layouts... don't know why I don't.. thanks for the inspiration

there are all sorts o ways I use em on Layouts

Directly on the layout
Stamp on cardstock then cut out (my fav)
use them to make your own pattern paper
stamping on ribbon
Stampin on flowers
ahhhh yes stamps for LOs are wonderful once you get out of the card comfortable mode.

I LOVE to stamp. I mostly stamp with cards but I have on LO's too. I guess it just depends on what you like.

I do a lot of stamping on layouts and cards, love it!

I do more stamping on my LOs than I do on cards, but I've only made a handful of cards so far...lol! I have only just stamped and maybe embossed, but I might try what was mentioned above and cut out the image then put it on my LO.

thanks for all the great ideas and pics. i have tons of rubber stamps still in the storage unit from my move, might have to go get them out. but i have acrylics here. what do most of you prefer? i have rubber stamp ans foam alphabets but i never get them lined up right. don't usually have as much trouble with the design stamps. It does seem to me though that the acrylics are easier to use and clean. so far i have only used paint on them to stamp with as I have read ink tends not to work so well and all but a couple of my stamp pads are in storage. LOL...the joys of moving into a much smaller house. LOL. oh and i didn't seem to find as many "design" stamps for the acrylics. any ideas or info? thanks

Sometimes it's just a little detail, where it feels like it needs something, but not over the top distracting something. I stamped the swirl thing in the bottom right.

I love my swirly stamps, and probably use those the most! They just add a different dimension under flowers or chipboard.

I stamp on los! I love stamps, they are simple and look great!

I stamp and heat emboss on my layouts. I love it.

I do stamping on almost every LO I have made in the last 10 or so years. I just love to stamp, it's relaxing and turns out so great looking. I have done cards forever and also rarely make a card without stamping of some kind.. To me, it's like breathing, I just can't stop!

I stamp on LO's and cards, but have to be in a stamping mood I very much prefer acrylic stamps, I tried the rubber ones a few times and couldnt get them lined up either. My favorite stamps are Close To My Heart, they have lots of designs...also I have never had problems using ink on them, you may have to press a little harder on the ink pad in spots, but you can see where it still needs ink, also I usually test it on scrap paper before putting it on my LO, just re-ink before you do the real one.

I've never made cards before but I love to stamp on my layouts! I've been purchasing more stamps lately to use and just placed an order here that I can't wait to get!

I do way more cards than anything...I think I like the more instant gratification because they're smaller!
