Sizzix Texture Boutique

I just got my Sizzix Texture Boutique from here (scrapbook.com) and just finished trying it out and I love it! I got the 91 piece kit. Now I can't wait to go get some more folders. I can tell already that I'm going to love using it!!

I got mine for christmas ... I love it!! I also had to go out and get many more embossing folders to try in it! LOVING them all!

I'm thinking of getting one of these.....I hear most folders can be used with it. Is this true?

love my sizzlex texture machine, it handles much better than th cuttle bug, light weight. and so easy to use for embossing.
just perfect.
use this much more .
only problem is need more embossing plates for it. and am not sure what i can use except this or cuddle bug plates.

wish i had bought this first.i most likely would not have gotten the cuddle bug.
i don't cute the die cutes often, just emboss!

I've used mouse pads, magnetic sheets, Fiskar texture plates (used not for texture, but for layering plates). I did order the Spellbinders tan embossing mats. They're made of a rubber band like material, and do not stay in place. So I'm not thrilled I purchased them.

You may have to use different combos, but can use all brands in the Sizzix.

I want this BADLY. I heard there were plates (texturz plates??) you could buy for it,,,true or not???

I bought a ton of folders and texture plates - I have banned myself from getting anymore - and now Tim Holtz has created some new ones... oh, the temptation......

Sizzix Texturz are too big.

You can also make your own, there's a great and simple tutorial on melstampz.

However, the Sizzix red is very heavy,,,,I may eventually get the Boutique for it's portability, etc,,,,,,but for now,,,,,this is working just fine,,,,

I am interested in making my own though,,,,,,how do I find melzstamps for that tutorial???

If your big Sizzix is too heavy ... I'll trade you the Texture Boutique for it. Hate to see you get a scrapbooking injury trying to lug it around.

If you just google "make your own embossing folder," melstampz will probably be the first hit and it'll be easier than trying to find the tutorial on the blog.

woops, found it,,,,,,,,there's actually quite a few tutorials on how to do this if you google,,,,,

looks like a PITA!!!!!!!! LOL, how gorgeous for custom embossing for invitations or something,,,,,,,you could emboss a fancy initial or something!

Truly perfect for when you can't obtain that custom embossing folder!

Well, I hope you're all happy... I just ordered the TB! I also got a few different folders to go along with it. Now I can't wait 'til it gets here!!! I'm going to try the "homemade" folders too after I get it.

A friend bought me one for my birthday (feb 12) and it was JUST shipped this week! (back ordered from another online shop) I CANNOT WAIT! I'll have to run out and get some embossing folders (hope they are on sale next week!) and PLAY! I believe she got me just the machine not the starter kit which is fine with me cause some of the stuff that came with the starter kit I wouldn't use.

OH, and if you have a cricut, they have an embossing folder kit, where you can make your own. I have not heard much about it so not sure how it all works. Can't wait to play!
