Making stick pins/hat pins

Please share your process/technique if you can or wish to. I've had no scrappy mojo lately, and I'm trying to maybe make my own embellies for a while to try to jump-start it. I don't really know anything about jewelry making or the supplies you need (well, I'm aware you need pins and beads lol) so any help would be super. Thanks, everyone!

Oh ash, piece of cake

I like to buy dressmaker's pins (I've used plain headpins, but the end isn't sharp) with the pearl or the crystal on top,,,,,,about 1.5 inches,,,,

string your beads onto the pin and just before the last bead, put a drop of clear drying glue on the pin and push up the last bead,,,,,

allow to dry. Easy peasy!

I am buying stuff either this week to make my first hat pins. Out of Joann's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby or Craft warehouse. Which one has the best selection and prices.
