Anyone working on anything this week & weekend?

Unfortunately no scrapbooking for me this weekend, since we have our friends over to plan another trip. But on Saturday morning I will go to a scrapbook fair and looking forward to coming how with lots of new goodies!

I had such fun cropping with my friend yesterday! I feel so much better! I am going to work on my kindergarten page but I got the pics reprinted from somewhere else & they are messed up so I can't finish till I get them redone. Remember the cool brown page that I posted to lift for my dd riding pic? I was able to go to the fabric store & got 5 really cool brown & coppery ribbons. 2 melt my heart. one has little coppery sequins on dark brown with some gold flowers. I did get a pk of decorative brads that have 2 shades of gold crystals, 2 shades of brown pearlys, 2 shades of brown glittery, dark brown velvet, brown reg. These melt my heart too. I went through my horse papers & found several that match everything. I will probably start on that page a bit to see what actually works.

I can't wait to see your LO - it sounds like it will be beautiful! I remember the LO your scraplifting. Glad you had a fun scrappy day yesterday.

Looks like we will be going home in the morning although I am going to run out of food if he keeps eating like he has since surgery!

I was going to scrap all weekend. However, I think I will sleep first. I've gotten so little sleep this week - I need to sleep. THen I will scrapbook.

I might get some practice time in on the Cricut Imagine( did the first thing a couple days ago, I've only owned it for 10 months and not really used it) and do some thing on the Sizzix Vagabond( had it since January, but haven't used it).
I have many many many layouts that need to be done.

Great that he is going home tomorrow. I am sure that you very glad that he can eat that much food because he is doing well!:) You do need your sleep. You will feel so much better if you try & catch up on yours. Once this crisis ghas passed, your body will relax.

My key words for this weekend are "storage" and "organization". My craft area is currently the kitchen table and I HATE it....I have a large 6 foot table in one of our spare rooms that currently holds my direct sales business 'stuff', but I think I want to convert it to a scrapping space. The only problem I am thinking about with that is this particular room has little to no heat........(we live in Maine!). Wish me luck!

I've been in a small section of our laundry room for the last couple of years and we have no heat and a blanket over the door way in the winter (old farmhouse in WI). The temps get to mid-30's and with my little space heater turned on about 10 minutes before I want to scrap, it's toasty. My supplies have been fine as well.

I am in the process of moving to an upstairs bedroom, but we turn the heat off for unused rooms, so my little space heater will be moving with me.

I hope that you do get your space converted. I do not blame you. You sound like me. I scrapped on the dining table. I did direct sales for yrs so I had our garage turned into a office for me with the long banquet tables for meetings. I had to quit for health reasons. I never thought to scrap there. One time I did on those tables & fell in love having so much space, I moved my scrap stuff there. We have a furnace but I still get cold. I use a space heater.

I have been thinking about the brown horse pg. I know lots of people use ATGs for ribbon but I usually use photo tape. I can apply it just as fast. It always lets me lift it up to move it beacause I always get it crooked. It would break my heart if I messed up this gorgeous ribbon & page.
I can't decide if I want to ink or not. I think the papers would look good inked.

I am working on claiming a bedroom for my scrappy space so I can move out of the laundry room. I have a lot of stuff to go through, marking some for rummage sale and a lot is going right to Goodwill.

Once I get settled in my new space, I have cards to make and a smash book for a swap.

We went to a Stack the Deck Mini Album workshop with Laura Denison of Follow the Paper Trail today. Great workshop with an awesome teacher to make a gorgeous mini album! She is such a knowledgable teacher, I am so thankful we live in the same area as her!

I am trying to find the time to create a page of my then 6 month old or so son eating an onion from the kitchenbin. Great photos to work with with the diff expressions on his face. I'm thinking natural colors with a vellum overlay cut in the shapeof an onion w light vein lines penciled in. I do some handdrawn stuff if I can't find a cricut shape or sticker. It makes my pages more personal.

I must be having some scrap fear. lol I keep hesitating to work on that page. I do not know why because I am making one out of icky paper in case I mess it up. I usually do not get this but I am a little tired & maybe that is why. Can't finish unless I start. lol

But I live on the east coast, so her youtube videos and ustream classes will have to suffice. no more fear. lol I am making the fake ones right now. still not decide on ink yet. She left white distressed edges & will have to see what looks good when I get to the real paper.

I am now on the real one. I am really happy with what it looks like. I still need to add the circles yet. Trying to find what looks good.

I envy all of you who have some artistic ability and can draw things for your layouts! There is no way I could do that or make the lines on an onion! I can't even write my name where anyone can read it!

This weekend I pulled out all my stamps and embossing stuff I bought eons ago. I bought it thinking oh yeah I'll totally use this stuff. And there it sat! Kinda sad really.

I had so much fun! I even pulled out my kit of glitter and made some fun gift favors for St. Patrick's Day. I uploaded them to the gallery if you want to take a peek.

Henri Jean, you ARE an artist. Your lo's show that. Your lo's are beautiful and very artistic.

Oh Henri, You should not envy us at all. There are many many many different ways of being creative without drawing yourself. You already make incredible layouts without you drawing. You have such a talent for putting colors & arranging stuff on a page. If you look at most layouts, they are not drawing anything at all by hand. I had a kidney disease at age 3. My doctors told my parents that I had to stay in bed for a year. I could not imagine that when I had my 3 yrs old. Let's just say that my mom had a large family & they sent & brought tons of crayons, colored pencils, drawing tablets, coloring books art supplies etc. I loved using them so it started there. They put me in art classes when I was a young child because I was supposed to rest for part of the day & I loved it.

I had to put my layout away last night & put stuff away in my room. I still have 3 piles of paper to put away. I also need to clean all the counters & doors of cupboards. Maybe I will be able to work on it tonight.

I am still putting papers away. My friend & I may go to crop at Archivers tommorow or weds. I need to edo my crop bag.

Good morning everyone. I ghad a blast with my friend. I am so happy! I also bought some cool new stuff. I have a lot to do today. menu planning, grocery shopping, kitchen cleaning etc. My shoulders are a tad sore. I was paper piecing yesterday. I am going to work on my genealogy stuff today sometime. I have many things I want to do scrappy but I need a break.

Hope to have Shanghai finished and Hong Kong under way by the end of the weekend.

I plan to organize some stuff and put what i don't want in a basket for a garage sale at a craft store at the end of march...
Doing this to get some cards done and some layouts...i plan to organize my cards in a brand new container from Iris...happy i found that at hobby lobby...lol

I did laundry all day & cleaned house. I am not done with the menu yet but I got part of it done.

I have clean up my scrap area. Packed my bags for a three day crop at A's this Friday (I am soooooooo excited). Planning on scrapping quite a bit. Tomorrow, I have to clean the house. Argh!

I rearranged the living room last night and started going through my stuff...can't wait till my shelves come in...i ordered a shelf for my wooden stamps...and one for my inks, refills, n markers...YAY!!!! That is my bday present to myself...lol

Hey guys, I may or may not be posting much. My brother has been courageously fighting a bad case of Huntingtons Disease. He was forced to bee in bed due to falling. He hated it. Kept talking about killing himself for some time. He fell & had to go to hospital. They gave him some medicine to put him in scanner due to his freaking out. He had a reaction to it. It has not come to yet. He only has a week to come to. He is on DNR. My sil thinks maybe he made himself fall on his head for this to happen. He is miserable daily & I do not blame him at all. I may or may not post here. I may find that it will be something to keep my mind of off it.
