Let me be really clear - This is Kokuyo adhesive

Remember Kokuyo adhesive? Best adhesive on the planet? It was discontinued by the manufacturer and we all cried and begged for it to come back?

Its back!!!!!

Scotch bought the American sales rights to it - so now it is back and I actually think its better (and I'm a pretty devoted user, trust me). I squealed in the booth at CHA when I saw it. Ya!!!!

So here you go:

And yes, we'll have the refills in the six packs shortly. We just rushed to get this up ASAP.

so i dont have to go through adhesive withdrawl after all. yeah! i have a stash that is dwindling but now that its still around i dont have to worry about switching

I don't know. I've used used roller adhesive by Scotch (not this one but looks similar) and it's horrid.

I've been dreading having to switch to a new adhesive so this news made my YEAR. A big thank you to Scotch for helping scrapbookers.

I tried this - Archivers had a coupon for a free refill when you bought the dispenser. I love it! I'm so glad to hear you carry it, because I've had a hard time finding it. I don't live close enough to an Archivers to pop in for adhesive.

I need repositional too. I'm always moving stuff around.

I loved this adhesive---since then I have used the xyron and I also just purchased my ATG gun...I may look into these refills for smaller projects--will they fit the old dispensers?

Hmmm...what's so great about this? I've never tried it. Someone convince me I need this. I currently use the oh-so-cheap (but really sticky) adtech glue runner.

Kokuyo goes on like butter! and your things will NEVER fall off! I've had heavy embellies on pages for a few years now and they are still stuck! Whereas with others I've had to go back and re-glue. I got the ATG because Kokuyo was being discontinued. If not for that I would never have gotten the ATG. But I think I'll go ahead and pick up a few of these to keep in my class kit for some card classes I'm taking in the next few weeks.
I've never seen the Ad-tech stuff before so not sure how it would compare in price/foot with this.

Now the question is will they carry the OTHER adhesive? Not the dot one but the regular adhesive? And if they do, will the refills fit in the old dispensers?

I've been using the adtech for a while and loved it. But recently I've noticed my older pages that I used it on are falling apart! It didn't do this at first, but maybe a 6-12 months later.

i have an ATG- but it's always good to have a small runner laying around...

I have been a long time supporter of adtech as well. But, I have noticed that things are starting to fall off of my pages now. NOT GOOD. It is really sticky to begin with and I think over time, it looses it's umph. I bought a Glue Glider Pro (came highly recommended) and I HATE it. I am left handed though and it just will not work for me. I spend more time trying to get it to run than I do scrapping. It infuriates me. I will give these a shot.

If you've never tried this before you really owe it to yourself to give it a try. I will be getting some ASAP. Best glue runner I've ever, ever, ever used! (I should work for them!) LOL

This is way better than TomBow!! And your things will NEVER fall apart!! Guarantee it!

I ordered one of these, just got it today but I dont know what I was thinking in only buying the refill. I thought well it will fit, if its the same thing then its gotta fit right? Wrong! Now I have to get the holder thing now, hopefully they have this locally, I dont want to have to wait a like 4 days to get it via mail. We'll see buy today's projects are now on hold.

Well for all of you who LOVE Kokuyo. IT IS BACK!!! I got mine today ( Aug. 24th -2011) in my LSS... It's my first KOKUYO so let see how good it is!!

I agree. I used one of the Scotch adhesives and it barely held anything on the page...it was TERRIBLE. Would never buy Scotch adhesive again.

For the most part I'm extremely anti-brand-name. However there are a handful of brands that I am loyal to because of their overall quality and 3M is one of them. Their abrasives and adhesives are usually miles beyond the competition, and I would (and probably do in some instances) pay more for them. But there does seem to be the occasional batch of duds - like the 3-pack of packing tape rolls I just tossed because it wasn't sticking AT ALL to ANYTHING.

Still, I love my ATG, I love Photo Mount, I love real Post-Its and Scotchbrite scrubbers, and at the immediate moment Ace bandages are extremely important to me for my severe wrist sprain So - I'd love to give the new Kokuyo a try

I used the Kokuyo today it rolls very smoothly what II really like so far is that it gives me time for my "upps" so I can repositon the paper, something I can't due with my UP TO now #1 adhesive-ATG

Well poop! I just got 18 Tombow refills in the mail yesterday. I do have to say though that I've only used Tombow since I started scrapping 6 years ago. I've never had anything fall off the page, even in my oldest albums.

A friend gave me layouts for xmas about 4 yrs ago and everyone of them lost every item on the page. If it was not for the yellow spot being left I would have had no idea how to put them back together. I was so disappointed int he ad tech adhesive. I will stick with the Glue Glider Pro and Kokuyo personally.

Ooooh, I've never looked into Kokuyo because it was being discontinued when I heard about it. Since then, I've looked into the ATG but didn't like the "permanency" of it, when I make a placement mistake. So is Kokuyo more forgiving then? I'm intrigued!!

Super super super EXCITED! There is no adhesive like this and I have been so disappointed since I used my last roll. I just wish is was a little lighter on the pocket book but Im still going for it.

So is it back??????

I have never used the original Kokoyu....
However, I have the Scotch brand shown above and I got it at our local Ms (in Canada)....
It is nice but I also use Tombow and I really don't notice much difference between them....
They are both good.
