Different adhesive question

I've been asked to provide two inscriptions, to be stuck inside books. One is a hardback - no problem. The other is almost like a pamphlet - the cover is paper and the inner leaves are Bible-thin. What adhesive should I use to prevent the thin paper from warping? Yes, I know I've been a scrapbooker for 8 years! But I've never needed to use a liquid adhesive for all-over coverage on such thin paper before. I cannot mess this up!

No idea if this would help or not, Rosey, and it's not a liquid, but maybe worth a test run?

I should mention that I haven't used it on really thin paper, but I love this stuff.

Try the dot-matrix adhesive tape runner. It's more subtle than the solid tape, doesn't leave globs of glue behind, and may work well with very thin paper. Xyron makes one like this and there are several others. I would use it on the label and then carefully adhere it to the page, but you should try it out first on a thin piece of paper, like maybe velour or even tissue paper.

I would go with the adhesive dot paper...thermoweb makes one too... Good for thin paper and delicate things...and lots of coverage

Hi ladies, I'm really new here but I was wondering is mod podge in anyway a good adhesive to apply embellishments onto the scrapbook paper? {I'm brand new at this but I obviously don't want my paper to wrinkle with any glue/adhesive} & I don't want something tacky either, not sure how I'd feel about glue dots because the embellishments are flat & I feel as if the dots would make them 3D? If anybody could help me I'd appreciate it!

sophiairene, I think mod podge will work fine as an adhesive. Just don't use too much when adhering your embellishments. Too much of any liquid adhesive will make paper winkle. I assume you are using it on the back side of your embellishments not front and back. I have used it both ways for different effects. Personally I use a tape runner for 70% of my embellishments, liquid mono glue for most of the rest and gel medium for the heavy 3D embellishments.
If it does not hold try something else there are more adhesives out there than you can ever use in a lifetime!! There are also flat glue dots!!

Rosey, hope you found something that will work. I would think one of the tape runners would work although I have never found an adhesive that does not show through extra thin paper, like vellum. Applying the adhesive all over will help, as least it will look the same.

I use the Xyron adhesives for almost everything, especially good for making stickers.

Rosey, did you find something that worked? I'm curious how this project came out.
