Unclogging a clogged eyelet hole punch

I use Stampin' Up's Basic Eyelet toolkit. I think all the eyelet Punches are basically the same. Here's how I unclogged my eyelet punch: 1) Get a skinny nail at least 1" to 1.5" long.2) Turn your eyelet punch upside down so that the "punch" area is up. 3) Place the pointy end of your nail against the paper Punches clogging your eyelet punch.4) Hammer down the nail until all the papep Punches fall out. Voila! You've unclogged your eyelet punch tool. This way you won't even have to clean it out each and everytime you use it. I did the above and I was able to punch holes through at least 10 sets of 2-layered invitations for my son's baptism.

I have the MM anywhere hole punch.

This wouldn't work on the smallest hole punch--it is not hollow all the way through. I use an x-acto knife to pick it out of the end.

I have the MM one too and I use a paper clip which has been opened up. But if I am doing tags, man my hands get tired of picking those things out! they get way jammed up in there!

I just use my paper peircer from my MM set.. give it a good push and they pop out

Mine is way clogged... can i soak it in water to soften the paper?

soak it in water?? I wouldn't. Probably just make a big mess, although it may work.

I would use a knife or long needle and dig out the pieces of paper.

Yeah... not sure if I would soak it in water either. I wouldn't want to run the risk fo the setting turning to rust.
