Reliving the 80's

Since I am completely caught up in my album -- Well, almost, I have a roll of film still in the camera with 10 more pictures to take -- ANYWHOOOO -- I have decided to put all of my high school pictures (from the 80's) in a photo-safe album.

My question is this: How many of you have gone back to relive those wonderful high school years?

I'm not exactly sure how to go about it since most of the pictures are, excuse me here, but, the pictures are dumb and boring to me now. Of course, at the time, I was just soooooo cool LOL LOL LOL LOL

I made an album of my high school and college years, mainly cuz I didn't have many pics, so I lumped them all together. Plus, I was such a horrible picture taker (and I think I even had the old "Disc" camera then, which took horrible pics!)...anyway, I had FUN doing it, especially the journaling.

I love the idea of putting the music titles in with the pages - there are some songs you just hear and go "oh, man!" 867-5309 anyone? Jenny, Jenny, you're the girl for me....I digress...

The song idea is "totally awesome"--can't forget those Valley Girls!

How about including some of those classic movies like "Breakfast Club"?

I had a Disc camera too and Kelly is right, the pictures look terrible. I might include the disc-shaped negatives in a layout one of these days.

I like to journal a list of what was "hot" or new at the time. For the 80's that includes big bangs (you know you've got a picture of that) and CD's.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm an 80's child too. One way to give you some inspiration may be to tune into an 80's station on the radio and let the music bring back memories. ("Short People", "Little Red Corvette", My Angel Is a Centerfold", "All Out of Love", "Still", "When Doves Cry", and even "Karma Cameleon.") Just listing those brings back some pretty vivid memories for me. Look at your old year books also. Be sure to post you LO's. I would love to see what you come up with.

I'm going to have to print out all the suggestions from this topic and put them with my photo's from high school. When I finish the 90's I might get to working on my high school pictures. BTW I had a disk camera as well!

And, yes, I had a disc camera, too. I still have those negatives. I will include that in my album - I have to. I'll put it in a photo mounting sleeve, tho.

I just have to say that I looked so cool in my neon sweatshirt with the matching neon big socks Can you beat that? Oh, yeah, its the 80's I'm sure you can!!

Talk about a blast from the past! I would add to this but it looks like you all have every topic pretty much covered. I'm going to have to remember this if I ever do my High School pictures. I can't believe what memories all those things bring back that you forget about. I (hate to admit it) did wear the leg warmers and Flashdance sweatshirts. I also remember when getting parachute pants was the coolest thing to have!! I feel like I just walked into a time warp!! How Fun!

Remeber tucking your jeans in your socks? I liked that phase, I'm tall so it was easier to hide that I could never find jeans long enough! LOL
