best way to store chipboard letters?

I love chipboard letters, but can't find a good way to store them. I'm using ziplock baggies right now. What do you ladies do? Is there a particular product that you like? thanks

I store mine in a Crop In Style Binder. Or if you don't have that, how about baseball trading card pages? They usually sell them at the office store, and I think I've seen them at Wal-Mart. I used those before I moved up to the binders.

I love monogram letters too on my pages & cards -- especially chipboard. What I found that works for me is I went to Target & bought one of those drawer storage units for hardware like nutes & bolts. Then I labeled the drawers so that I have a drawer for every 2 letters & numbers (like A & B in 1 drawer, C & D in the next). I even had a couple drawers left for pouncuation & primary shapes. It works really well for me.

I have ALL of my alphas (chipboard, plastic, etc) stored together divided by letter. A's together, B;s together, and so on.

Right now they are in zip lock baggies in a plastic box but I am planning to get a CH divided box nect time HL has the Coupon .

I have a 3x5 index card box with dividers that I store my larger monograms in. As for the smaller ones, I use baseball card sleeves and a notebook.

I have mine all stored by letter too in a box that has drawers. I got it at Ikea for about $10--I have two of them for 18 drawers so some letters are doubled up. I painted them a couple years ago but they need to be repainted. You can find them online unfinished at Ikea. Here is the link to it in my gallery.

I have mine in a "tool" drawer organizer that I got at Wally's -- It seems to hold everything I need (I have 2) -- I even cut the label off of the package they come in and adhere it to the outside of where the letters are so I know the manuf. etc. Helps me loads!!!!

You can actually do a little of both Sharon! There are lots of premade chipboard alphas out there to buy. OR you can have fun and create your own as well. Check out my siggy line - I'm currently hosting a swap for chipboard letters. You might be interested if you're looking at adding to/or starting a collection of chipboard alphas. If you're creating your own chipboard alphas, the sky is the limit on creativity. Do a search in the gallery and you can see LOADS of examples!

I really like the idea of using a small drawer organizer! But, I have 3 of those already for everything else! I'm going to run out of room for my organizers!!!!! LOL!

I used to use the box---but then it got to a poitn where i coudl not find anything. So I combined them all. It seems to work alot better because I have them stored by letter so I look for them by letter instead of by style. It has saved me time.

do you separate all your letters by the letter???? If you use the baseball card folders do you separate and put one letter per section??????

I use my things with drawers in them and I do separate them all by letter. I got a drawer with all "A"s and so on. I do have some that are doubled up and all lettrs and punc in one drawer. I do dump them out to find what I want. Mathematically, this is a faster way to do things. I won't go into all that but at a certain point, you have to go through more than 26 boxes of letters to find what you need. At that point, it i better to just sort everythig by letter than leave it in the orignal packaging. I have letter brads, fabirc letters--all of them in thses boxes.

I tried storing my alphas by letter, but that system just doesn't work well for me. I have large plastic boxes that hold all of my chipboard alphas in their original containers. If the original container isn't really good for storage, I use smaller plastic storage bags that are acid free. It's just easier for me when I pack for crops.
