What to use to apply chalk

Those are good ideas...I am the cheapy q-tip gal...but they fall apart so quickly!

i used the pom poms w/ a alligator clip yesterday for the first time and WOW. it is so much better than the q-tips i have been using.

i bought this coloring tool at my LSS its called Fantastix ANd its for chalking and it works great and i only paid $.60 for it.

Wow, I just bought some of those today, a pack of six and I'm wondering how you clean them, to reuse them...? Also, do you wet them when using? I've searched the internet trying to get instructions on how to use them. I bought them cuz I thought they would work better than a waterbrush... Please respond.

I have both...I rarely use the pencils, though. They give a much more defined line--even when you smudge it. The pads of chalk & pom-poms give a much more blurry, hazy, umm...whispiness of color. (What's the descrptive word I'm searching for?) Hope you get the idea!

I've tried just about every way possible when applying chalk and have found these make up applicators that work the best and they don't fall apart like a q-tip and cost much less than a tool designed 4 appying chalk. They're called "Swisspers" cosmetic applicators made out of 100% cotton, got them at Wal Mart in the make up dept. They come in a handy see thru plastic container and have 2 different tips. 1 side is more pointed, use this side for smaller areas and the other side is wider and more flat, use this side 4 larger areas and there are 80 to a pack. They really r a great tool for applying chalk. I can use each 1 over and over again. They last a long time b4 having 2 throw them out.

Well I've always used whats handy at the time, qtips, eyeshadow applicators, napkins, tissue, and even my fingers! Now I'll be looking for some of the other things you nice ladies have told me about.
