Ok- so, I'm lame- I made a SUPER cute cupcake card and then realized that I don't have envelopes the right size to send it. So.... I need someone who can tell me how to measure it out or someone to send me a template. ANYONE??? It's got to be stupid simple and I'm just not able to wrap my brain around it.
I'd lay one of the cards on a sheet of newspaper. Then I'd look at a completely opened envelope to see the proportions and cut my own template from the newspaper.
Thanks Linda- I found on the kreate-a-lope site that their 6x6 envie takes a paper that's 9 7/8" square. So, I made mine 9 1/4" square. THEN I used my handy dandy centering ruler to find the center, then I made a box that's 5 1/2" square and folded it up. PERFECT! LOVE IT!
I will for sure be adding extra postage- it's got bling on it so it's going to have to be hand sorted/cancelled.
lol this is funny to me because I just basically did the same thing for Mother's Day cards. I was having the hardest time trying to figure out how to measure the cards out to fit the envelopes that I have. I have been stressed out lately so my head is in the clouds a bit.
hi, girls...here is what's worked for me...take your card (no need to measure), place it on a piece of paper (make sure is large enough to cover the entire card front, back and 1/2" on the sices 1" on top). Place card on center of paper, fold bottom of paper to cover 3/4 of card, now fold top of paper to overlap the other 1/4 of the card. Cut excess of the top using nice scissors. On each side leave .5 or .75" paper fold this, trim excess. Here is the tricky part...open your paper, it should have a square in the middle, on the sides and where your bottom fold are there should be small squares trim those off and glue. I hope I explained it right.
