Please tell me - what's so great about Stickles?

I love watching videos of people's scraprooms - my guilty pleasure I guess, for an organization junkie. I see everyone has Stickles. Can you please help me understand what is so great about them and how you use them on scrapbook LO's?

stickles (fancy scrapbooking glitter glue) is awesome! I used to think just like you until I bought my first bottle (diamond and the black diamond one) and now I'm hocked! I use them to accent my handmade flowers and make my own swirls but you can use them for pretty much anything you want a little 'bling' on!

I have more examples in my gallery and clos eups on my blog if you want to see more. Also, if you are planning on purhcasing one (or two) to try them out, I recommend Diamond and black diamond (white and black). The white one dries clearn and you can use to highlight anything and the color will come through while the black one is fun to use! I tend to use the black one for flourishes a lot.

not much as far as I can see I have 20 bottles and I rarely use them,,,,,,

i do like them for flowers like Amarylis uses them though,,,,,and on ANYTHING I do for my DD who LOVES stickles

Love Stickles! They are great for that extra touch. Or, if you're not sure what to do with a project-add Stickles! It's almost always the answer!

I think they are a cheap way to add some bling and that little something extra to your pages and cards. Rather than the little gems and beads that I find expensive and seem to go through like crazy!! They are just that finishing touch...

They add a pop to anything you do.

Amarilys' post is great, but it appears to be just like any other glitter glue. The plain Stickles (without glitter) is the one I like. It simply adds a little dimension & shine to whatever you put it on. I use it when I cut an image out of patterned paper to use as an embellishment...I cover the image with Stickles & allow it to dry before adhering on to my page...it's just beautiful, though subtle. I didn't get what the hoopla was all about either, until I tried it. Good Luck!

Like others have said, I use them to accent parts of cards or layouts.

I like the samples I see using Stickles but I never like the look I get when I use them. I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or it is just me.

Stickles are great because of the tip and variety. the way they designed the bottle it makes it a lot easier to get a constant amount of the glitter glue without air gaps or having to reallllly squeese the bottle.

they also have a large variety of colors that is better (that part is my opinion). i have used other brands, but my addiction is stickles.

i use them a lot because its a quick easy embellishment to add to any LO. ( i get up to 2 hours during nap time to scrap only.) I have lots of paper, brads and stickles. i dont to ribbon, flowers, inking, stamps, or some of the other techniques.

I'm still looking for the answer to the question that bothers me most: when you touch anything covered with ordinary glitter your fingers get shiny because some glitter sticks to them. That's what I hate about glitter.
Does that happen when you touch dried stickles? Does the glitter cling to your hands as well??

No, there is no flaking off of Stickles because the glitter is encased in glue.

But in ordinary glitter glue the glitter is also enclosed in glue medium, but still it's flaking off.. how can that be different? =)

Ok, guess my hands are super sticky so they get glitter rubbed off anything =)))

I love using stickles because it's not messy.
I use it on the flowers on my cards and boxes, and also sometimes to frame a stamped image.
You should give it a try :-)
