how to glue little font onto paper

I just bought a silhouette cameo machine. Some of the font is really thin line. What kind of glue would you use on the font?

For all my super thin cuts I use my xyron sticker maker, and for the inevitable glubbers that are left I use my ek success adhesive remove. But because the cameo pulls fonts found on your computer some aren't really good for cutting unless you off set it first.

Here's another vote for xyron, and I use the adhesive remover too--sorry to see it's discontinued.

I use the small Zig glue pen and tweezers

Don't use glue for small fonts. Instead, get a small sticker maker. I recommend the Xyron 150 as it takes 1.5" wide letters or other small cuts.

So once you turn small fonts into stickers, use a clear ruler to line them up evenly. I recommend the Tim Holtz Design Ruler because its see through so you can line things up stright and it has a graduated 45 degree edge which comes in very handy for lining up and laying down words and phrases straight. Here's how it works. Once you turn your fonts into stickers, lay them along the edge of the ruler half way up the sticker (so a 1/2" font will lay on the ruler with .25" hanging free off of its graduated edge. Once you've laid out your word or phrase and your happy with just how its spaced out, tip the edge of your ruler up 45 degrees so that your sticker fonts touch your work. Gently go along an secure the tops of all your letters to your work. Then one you've finished securing their tops, lift the ruler to 90 degrees or better to free or pull away the bottom half of the stickers from the ruler. Gently pat the bottoms down and you'll have them perfectly lined up on your work! Works like a charm! Tip 1: The Xryon comes with repositional tape and you can also get permanent tape refills. When your just learning this ruler technique, I recommend using the repositional sticker tape rather than permanent adhesive so you can easily lift and adjust a letter if necessary. Once you get this technique down, you can switch to permanent adhesive once your skill level increases.

Tip 2: You can always secure repositional stickers permanently by brushing a small amount of matte finish Modge Podge over your stickers to make them stick permanently. Your paper will absorb the matte Mod Podge leaving no trace of it behind and it will protect your stickers from ever lifting or curling. Its like a magic clear coat that you can't tell has been applied to your paper work. Modge Podge is a liquid glue that is mostly used to apply paper to just about any kind of surface. This stuff is used to get 'permanent' stickers off of paper and reposition them! Yep, that's right, safely removes permanent stickers and leaves no trace behind. That means you can use permanent adhesive in your Xryon if you have un-du on hand in case you make a mistake and need to relocate one. No you do not need to use Modge Podge to 'seal' permanent stickers down. You can seal them if you need to protect your work for other reasons. Another vote for the Zyron X. I keep the goobers away by tracing around the letters with an embossing tip. I then rub and peel. Goober free!

Another vote for the Xyron. I have three different sizes of them and they work fantastic.

Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue works great. It has a tiny tip on one end that works so good with small fonts. You don't need much and one bottle lasts a long time.

Well yes Xyron is the best but...sometimes it wont stick to glitter paper and suede paper "specialty paper". I use Scots liquid glue, squeeze some out on scrap peice of paper (where would I find that?) and use a qtip to spread it around. I have found a refillable bottle with a neede tip and am goingto try that.

I use the Martha Stewart Ballpoint tip glue pen for delicate cuts.

I use either Tombow Mono or a glue pen... I have them around for other things, so it's the easiest for me...

Another vote for Zig pen and Tweezers! I have used the Tombo Mono but can't finesse a small enough line to be happy on fine cuts. I have tried the Xyron but i am such a cheapskate I thought it wasted too much product (maybe with more practice). I recently bought Thermoweb adhesive dot sheets to try, here's hoping!! I've loved other Thermoweb products so hope I love the this too!

I'm not a fan of the Xyron sticker maker, I hate that there is always a sticky residue around the edges, even if I use a toothpick to rub good around the edges. I like the zig pen and tweezers are okay, but something like Embellie Gellie is great for picking up small things and adding adhesive and for placing on projects. It's made by ScraPerfect and I find it very handy for small embellishments. The Best Glue Ever is a good glue with a fine tip that is good for small spaces too.

I hate the Xyron.....

I use my tweezerbees with a product called GlueGloss.......It's like a lipgloss container with a wand. I love that stuff.....Just works like a charm and a lot less expensive as the Xyron.

Glue gloss rocks. My LSS thought they had discontinued it a few years ago and when she told me I bought all 8 tubes she had left. She eventually found it through another supplier thank goodness. I would be lost without it.

I spread thinly some liquid glue (Aleene) on a paper scrap, and with my tweezers, I put my title on it, then I put quikly it on another paper scrap to remove any excess of glue, and then I glue it on my project.
I always do that way with my big shot titles, because I have a problem with glue and I need that everything is STRONGLY stuck, lol!
