Scraparatus

Has anyone tried the Scraparatus? I'm wondering how it compares to the Cropadile in its ease of punching holes through chipboard and setting eyelets.

Never heard of it! Please share!!! I must say that I LOVE my crop-o-dile though!

Never heard of it....actually, I can't even pronounce it!

I would like to know if it's quiet. My DS is very sensitive to loud sounds, so the Cropodile is a wonderful tool for me.

That video is cool! Thanks Viv! I think it would be a neat tool to have if you didn't have anything else..but even with my crop-o-diles limited reach...I still LOVE it...it's SO easy! I never used eyelets before because I could never get them to set right..now I use them all the time.

Great video. LOL on the first eyelet not setting properly for the demonstrator. This looks like it will be one of those great "have-to-have" products.

Now THAT is cool. My main question about it is how quiet is it, really? You really couldn't tell from the video, it was so loud at the tradeshow. I'm a late-night scrapper, and I have been taking my stuff to the kitchen and squatting on the floor to punch my holes and set eyelets/snaps.

I tried the Provo Craft Silent Setter, my best friend grabbed one up for $6 somewheres, and I really didn't care for it. I had to actually stand up and put all of my weight on it to set the (MM) eyelet, and it didn't even flower very flat on the back.

I'm basically in the market for a silent setter I can use late at night. I'll stick to my hammer-method during the day.

I think it looks cool and will probably get it. I hope they make more alphabets...

Now I know why they were putting the Click-It on clearance at AC!

I used to have a spring action eyelet setter...I forget the name of it at the moment...they're very annoying & just plain awkward. The only reason that I could see wanting to get that one is because of the possibilities with the dies & not having to have tons of punches. KWIM?

that just looks really cool. i don't know that i need another tool, though! i hardly use eyelets anymore... hmmmmmm!

Well thank the Lord for you guys! I was just wondering (as I look at the KF ad in my mag) what the heck that thing could be. BTW I LOVE the apron but I'm really not sure if I want to spend that much money on it.

I couldn't see the video real well (and no sound - no speakers) but the tool did look neat. I just bid on a cropadile though, so I think I'll wait before investing in a new tool.

I want one, it's adorable and I love all the teeny attachments- tags and alphas, etc.

I have the crop-a-dial and the Fiskars springy setters (LOVE THEM!!) but the Scraparatus just looks like FUN!!! LOL

I would like to use it a few times before I bought one. I like the idea of the tags and alphas but I'm afraid they are too small and I would never use it.

Not too sure about it.. I have a spring loaded eyelet setter and I'm not really a fan. I absolutely LOVE my cropadile though.. the only thing I could see would be the die cuts. That really is nifty!

I just bought the scraparatus on the internet and it makes A LOT of noise. It sounds like banging a hammer on the counter. A loud smack. It works really well and I really love it because it is so small and handy but it makes a lot of noise!

I saw it in a demonstration at the sb convention. It is a cool tool but it is VERY noisy (we even moved on to the next booth because it was so loud). It also seemed as if the demo people were having trouble using it. That could be operator error, but it seemed awkward to use. I think I'll wait a bit and see what I hear about it. For now I love the Crop A Dile, and I'm not crazy about spring-loaded eyelet setters. If anyone tries it, please let us know!

I have a spring loaded MM eyelet setter and I'm not a huge fan. It works if I need it but usually I stick with my Crop-a-Dile. I think the dies would be too small for me to ever use. I do 12x12 layouts and the tiny stuff gets lost sometimes.

Since the Crop-O-Dile is limited for setting eyelets and the Clikit and the new one by Karen Foster are both loud and so are all the rest of the anywhere eyelet setter's I guess we're just stuck with the noise and the limits. It's a no win situation w/eyelets. BUT, there is an eyelet that doesn't need nothing more than the tip of an ink pen, yes, u hear me right! They r called Quicklets and can get them on line at eyeletoutlet.com A lady invented them and I have some and they are sooo awesome. Slowly she is coming out w/more and more variations. For now there aren't too many to choose from but u can get the common one's that are used.

Quicklets rock! I order from that company all the time. I love that you can set them with a pen or any small object like that.

I have the scraparatus and I love it!! The dies aren't as small as you would think they are. Bigger than handwriting, the letter ones anyway. It's very easy and once you get the hang of it, eyelets set perfectly. It's not quiet, but I don't mind the noise.
