Bo Bunny Flex Ruler

I just bought the Bo Bunny Flex ruler for cheap and was wondering what poeple thought of it and examples of how they used it?

I've been eyeing that too, but wasn't sure if I needed it or if it was just really cool looking. Curious to know what you think.

I bought it cuz I heard great things about it but haven't found a way 2 use it yet. I've seen LO's in magazines that have designs in them from using this flex ruler and it looks nice but I really don't think I'll b using mine and it's brand new.

It is the curved strip at the bottom. I liked it because I could easily mirror my curve. I am thinking of getting my own...cause I think she is gonna get tired of me borrowing. KWIM?

Since u've used it some can u give me some ideas 4 using this thing, pleeeeeze? It's going 2 waste just sitting in my desk and I can't return it since I bought it while on vacation in another state and I thru away the little plastic purse it comes in. I haven't even attempted 2 use it yet, I'm a bit clueless how 2 get started.

Here is an example of how you can use your BB flex rule or any flex rule. I'm working on a BB
Beautiful Journey book kit and this page called for the border wave using the flex rule. I didn't have one but remembered I had the Making Memories cutting system wave tool, so used it instead. This is the first wave design I've used on a page and I like it. Another page in this book also uses the rule for a large curve only on one side. For that curve, I used the large MM circle template using only half the circle two times. I'll try to get that page posted.

As you already have the BB rule, these are examples of how you can use them. This was the first time I've made a wave or curved border and I like it. Think I might have to get a curve rule, afterall. If you are comfortable with a craft knife, you'll have fun playing with the curve rule.

I love my Bo Bunny ruler. I had to have one! At first I wasn't to sure when I started using it! I have some stencils that do the same thing as the ruler, so I was not sure at first. But I started playing with more and I love it! I highly recommend it!

Ok, so is this more versatile than the Creative Memories 12" design cutting system? I have the old clear one and I make waves and such with it, but it's a hard template so you can't really alter it too much. Since this BB is flexible, I am assuming you can make different wave widths and styles???

I have one of those rulers. I got it when I was going to to school for my drafting degree! Maybe I should go dig out my old drafting tool box and see what else is in there that I could use for scrapbooking...like those french curves that I never used (but had to pay for because they were a "required" material). hmmm...

Okay, so I've used it a couple times and I do really like it, it's great for unusual shapes/lines. Here's my lastest that I used it on:

I've had my eye on this and it has been recommended, but it appears that all that's been done with it can be done freehand. I still don't see the need for it... maybe I'm missing something.

lol! Yes, most of it can be done freehand but being a little type A and a bit obsessive about things being just so, it helps me to be more confident about the "freehand" wave or design I'm making!!!! Hope that makes sense!!

I have the ruler as well and really like it. I'm not good at drawing freehand and this gives me a chance to play around with the curves so I can visually see what it is going to look like before I cut the paper. Here are a couple of los I have used it for. If I could Enchanted

I should just stop reading scrapbook.com because now I have one more thing that I want to buy. I really like all the layouts I've seen using this flex ruler thingie.

I got one for free when I won a $20 sb.com gift cert. It's so cool! I've only made one LO with it so far ("Stylin'" in my gallery) but I think I'll use it fairly often. Not sure exactly what it's made of but it's a brilliant concept.

They MIGHT be cheaper in an office supply or drafting supply store, but they probably won't be pink!!!

I bought one cheap in October. Still haven't used it, but you all have made some beautiful lo's with it!

I want one! It's on my Christmas list. I keep telling my DH what a great stocking stuffer it would make. I hope he's listening!

I have the CM 12-inch design system or whatever it's called, but that's rigid. While good for waves, it does not allow you to make unusual shapes or anything other than one wave pattern. I also have trouble with freehand shapes and I get so frustrated when they don't come out just so. I really want one of these things!

I saw one in the fabric store for about $1 less, but it's grey and drab. I love pink (my fave color) and figure it's worth the extra buck for a pink one!

Here's my first lo with the flex ruler--it is nice to see exactly how the curves will fit on the lo--especially for someone like me who struggles with freehanding.

I saw a Wrights brand at Js online. It's on sale for 7.99. I'm thinking about getting it. But I have so much that I've already bought and not yet used that I might wait until the next time it's on sale.

after I paid full price for the bb ruler at lss, I found a generic one at JAF for two bucks in the quilting section. I was mad.

hey all- just thought i'd share- I got a flexy ruler just like the Bo Bunny one but it's blue not pink- in the paint section at J's. Used a 50% coupon on it and it came to about $5 I think. They also have a red one in the notions dept. Sweet deal compared with the real thing!

I bought the red one at J's too... Still haven't opened the package.
