Not even going near there. I spent 70 at the LSS the other day--they FINALLY got their new Chatterbox papers in.

Very pretty papers. Emily, PLEASE let me know when Memories does another Bazzill sale. Scrapvivor is draining me fast, I've used almost all the stuff you picked up for me.

The JoAnn's sale runs Aug. 22-Sep. 3 according to my sale paper. I hope to go one day this week even though my J's has a very limited SB section. Maybe I can get something good.

Yeah, I really stocked up. I got a Cardstock Stack, the Stack III and the Fall Stack. I think I'm set for paper for a while.....yeah right, who am I kidding? I also got 2 of the quote stacks and a bunch of the JoAnn's embellishments that were 50% off. Some refills for my cutterpede and the thread/bobbin thingies they had on special for $5.99. On looking at my receipt further, I saw that the gal charged me for 2 of the cardstock stacks and didn't ring up the quote stacks on sale price, so I have to go back tonight. It will be interesting to see how empty everything is. Happy shopping girls!

I went and spent exactly $44. I got the cardstock stack, vellum, joann's quote stack, a fiskars photo punch, a xyron 150 and one refill, foam tape, adhesive eraser, glue thing by elmers, photo mounts and one set of stickers and my item for bingo.

Well, I have you all beat, I spent $150.00 today at Joannes and $100.00 yesturday at my LSS, but they had Bazzill at 50% off, so can you blame me. I bought the Little X, 2 Stacks, lots of embellishments, MM, adhesives and used my coupons for some neat fibers.

I can not go shopping for at least 6 months, repeat, I can not go shopping for at least 6 months.........

Well, well, well. I guess I'll be heading over to JoAnn's tomorrow! I just bought a bunch of stuff at Wal-Mart last week and I'm supposed to be saving for the Scrapbook Expo in Atlanta during LAbot Day weekend. How can I possibly pass up a sale like that? Maybe I'll just go and look...

I nearly fainted when I hit the Sizzix aisle - I had my 40% coupon in hand to pick out my 2x a month Sizzix splurge. All Sizzix diecuts and machines... not 40% off... FIFTY PERCENT Off!!!!

I bought 6 today and it's going to take every ounce of will power I have to not go back this week. Everything I bought was on sale so I still have my 40% coupon

Did I mention their 12x12 paper is .20 cents a piece. As if I didn't already have enough paper!

Well ladies, I'm going to try to keep some will power and not go. I have never been to the Joann's here, it's not that close to me so I don't know what they have. I was going to go tomorrow after work but after hearing how much everyone spent I better stay away. I really need to start saving so we can try to buy a house this winter.

Okay, I HAVE NO WILLPOWER. I went back to JoAnn's to get the refund for my overcharge and then proceeded to "give it back" plus give them $20 more. I got a HUGE square punch because they were 50% off, (and mine just recently broke, I'm lost without it) another stack (such pretty colors!) and some 8.5 x 11 paper for ds (see I'm not TOTALLY selfish). Now I'M DONE. I SWEAR, REALLY.

If dh sees the receipts, he'll give me grief even though it is "my" money to spend however I please. I am set for paper for a good long time.

Wow! This thread has done wonders to relieve my guilt!! Saturday I stopped at a LSS and spent $40, and felt guilty because I am trying to save for s big scrap retreat in October (Denton, TX). Then today, in an effort to get birthday invitations made for my son, I spent $20 at another LSS and another $25 at Michael's. (Would have been cheaper to buy invitations!) I did good to spend relatively little at the last two places, but added up over the weekend...YIKES! Thank goodness the closest JoAnn's is not THAT close and they don't carry a ton of scrapbook supplies--too dangerous!!

YIKES I want money I was almost tempted to spend money that I need to send to pay for some items a gal got for me for a swap but instead I high tailed it to a blue box and sent that out...I have like $10.00 and that would be just a tease....
Ours carries sizzix but not that many...I'm planning on asking "santa" for one so I should stock up on dies...and if I don't get one I have trade stuff.

I have a small Joann's by my house and their sb section is kind of small. Well the other day I was visiting with my Mom, who lives like 10 minutes from me, and saw a Joann's by her. I walked in a oh my gosh!

It was HUGE and the scrapbooking section took up a full quarter of the store. My eyes got so big and all I could think of was "I must be in scrapbook heaven."

I found this place BEFORE I read about this sale. I spent $89 on my first visit. I am doomed if I go back.

I bought "the stack III"... DD & I split it - I got 2 of each & she got 1 of each pattern/color... Of course she's gotta clean her room before she can have it!

Good thing my Joann's is small and pitiful or I would have burned a hole in my checkbook. They don't even carry any of the scrap essentials other than a few 12x12 albums. This is such a good sale, though! I am so jealous of those with a good Joann's.

I went and wow what a mad house! Today there must have been 17 screaming kids board out of their minds. My little girl was great, shocked me to death! I managed to get out of there at about $25 (they had to ring me up twice and I had the slowest gal ever!). But tomorrow is another day if I can make it there. I wanted to look at some things and dd was starting to show wear.

Cherene--do you go to the JoAnn's in Redmond? The one in Lake Forest Park (which was the closest one to us) just closed, and they are moving to Lynwood in a bigger space. I was wondering if the one in Redmond was any good. I found a "JoAnn's super store" in Bellevue by looking on their website...but Redmond is more convenient, and I'm headed that way in the next few days anyway.

OUCH! My checkbook! I just got back a while ago from JoAnn's sale and OMG, was it PACKED! I got there at 10:15 and the parking lot was FULL. I was ONLY gonna get the stacks that were on sale, but somehow a bunch of other stuff sneaked it's way into my cart.

I had no idea that EVERYTHING was 40% off. (except the stickers and the stamps, but who cares, everything else WAS) I walked away spending $94.32. Yep, you read it right. Almost $100 on sb stuff. Good thing it's my allowance and I don't have to explain to dh anything.

So much for my saving up for the big convention next month, back to square one...

are they getting out of scrapbooking or why were they having a sale on almost everything??

I bought the cardstock stack and stack III :] and some little white vellum envelopes :] (joann scrap essentials) and mounting squares. hmm.. that's all, cuz I'm completely broke now. Strangely, my joann was emptier than I expected. I guess scrapbooking isn't really that popular here.

i'm vacationing back home in maryland this week... and they just opened one of those new "ReCollections" scrapbook stores here... so i'm SOOOOO excited to check that out while i'm here! also, there's a JoAnn's Superstore, so i'm hoping they still have lots of sb stuff left by the time i get there!!! this could be VERY dangerous, don't you think?!?! i live in the middle of nowhere in WV, where it's very hard to find cool sb supplies... so i'm in heaven this week!

I went when they first opened at 10 this morning. I spent 75.00. My husband was mad, but now that I see Heather spent more, I feel better. I got a bunch of scrap essentials to stock up and another Stack III. I should've gotten more paper but I really have nowhere to put it. I also grab a refill for my tombo adhesive not realizing they were 40% off and now I wish I had gotten more of them. I also got their card box set thing. I used a coupon on it since it wasn't on sale and figure I can start making cards with all my stuff.
By the way, do your Joann's have Christmas stuff already? I was surprised to see it next to the Halloween stuff.

I spent 73 dollars. Got several of the 12x12 albums for 4.99 as well as the fall harvest stack and lots of scrap essentials embellishments. I wish our Joanns had a bigger scrap section. But then I guess I would have done more damage.

Oh and Fiancee and I were two of about 8 people waiting for the store to open outside at noon

My goodness! The deals! I bought a back to school embellishment (with my coupon b/c it wasn't on sale), some 12x12 paper (it was five for $1), a glue stick, and silver heart-shaped brads.

Then, I went across the street to Michaels' and with their coupon, I got a Fiskers personal paper cutter/trimmer. It's great b/c my space is limited for sbing, so I didn't want to get a larger one. I also got some 8 1/2 by 11 paper (five for $1), and some alphabet stickers for $0.99. Boy, was I busy today!

Monica, you'd LOVE it here... I live about 50 miles north of Alaska's biggest town (Anchorage) in Wasilla. We have 3 LSS, joann's (michaels is in Anchorage), walmart, fred meyers has a little sb stuff, our 2 dollar stores occasionally get stuff, and this year we will have a brand new Home Depot AND a Lowe's... And our weather is nice- this summer was HOT.

So when ya movin here? lol

oh jeese i spent 64 dollars today! so much paper, two stacks and a bunch of embellishments! not so good, i jjust keep spending and spending. i think i buy more things than i actually make!!!
