What is your favorite page?

Do you have any pages that you have done that you are especially proud of?

I'll go first. I did a page with pictures of my grandparents at their house in the country in the fall.

I used a patterned paper, vellum, and handmade paper. I don't usually mix papers too much so I was proud of the result

My two best pages, interestingly enough, were only pics - no journaling and no embellishments. One of them was five pics of me & hubby - one really neat black silhouette picture, and two each of us by ourselves. I did it on 12x12 white paper, with the corners done in a tan flecked cardstock. The pictures I matted in various combos of black and tan. I been so careful in picking my pictures that they really made the page all by themselves - and I didn't have the heart to mess up the balance of the page with journaling.

The other one was a studio shot of my sis & her baby - all in white background and white clothes. I used a silver & white stripe paper for my main border, using an edged ruler for the inside. I matted that over plain silver paper. Then I matted the photo in a silver & white fleck paper, and centered it on the silver. It looked wonderful - and again, I just couldn't mess it up with journaling. Sometimes, you just don't have to say anything - the picture says it all!

I just finished one of my favorite layouts ever. I bought one of those "scrap pads" from provo craft calles fishing all day. I used the two water pages to make the background, and then cut out sand with the tan woodgain paper and I built a little dock and used pictures from camping when my hubby to the boys fishing off the boat dock for the very first time. It just seemed to come together perfectly (which I don't usually pull off to my liking). I think it's one of my best pages ever!

My favorite page...It doensn't have any jounaling on it. Its photos of the kids on vacation. I softened the edges of each shot before I had it printed so each has an etheral look. My friends love that page, too.

Great question! I recently completed a LO of my 5 year old daughter having read "Hop On Pop" by Dr. Suess entirely by herself for the first time. She was so excited that she could read a book TO MOM with no help!! I used a font called "Dr. Suess" that read, See Kelly Read and then used the same color green as on the book for the bottom of the page. Photos included 2 of her reading the book and one adorable pic of her sitting on her bed holding up the book with that, "I'm-so-proud-of-myself-Mom" look on her face. It really is precious.
