Favorite adhesive, worst adhesive, use?

I am interested in this topic and what adhesives are best for different items, strings, metals,etc., when using them in our scrap books. Please tell the name brand and what you like most or what is the worst so we don't waste our money!!!!

I love the Zig 2 way glue pen for detail work, like gluing punchies and letters. If you smear any on the page, it comes up easily with one of those rubber adhesive pickup squares they sell at the art supply store. I DON'T like the elmers craft glue memory book pen, it's goopy and too wet so the paper curls. I havent tried a Xyron yet, but I hear that's the best.

I absolutely love Hermafix sticky dot adhesive. It is easy to apply, glides on like a dream. Also it is repositionable for 24 hours, then becomes permanent, so if you place something and realize you want to move it...you can! Ever since finding this wonder adhesive, I hardly ever use anything else. Love it, love it, love it!!! Did I mention how much I love it? LOL!

That is my favorite too. Some complain that it gets goopy around the area where it rolls out. I am like, "So...clean it or would that take too much time from scrappin?" Shouldn't we clean everything every once in a while anyway? I love it too...Do you find it expensive? I can go through so much in a night? I have to be careful to keep it at a 90 degree angle to the paper or I have to go back to get it on there enough and then I waste too much. I use it more then anything else. I love it too....

I love Zig too and I didn't know that it is temporary for 24 hours and then permanent. Thanks for that info. I didnt know it would come up either. Thanks.

I use the zig 2 way and the Sailor fine point pen for things like punchart. I am the last of the dinosaurs when it comes to the photo splits--I just love those piles of little blue tabs, and telling on myself, I never cut the trailing white ribbon. I seem to get a lot of satisfaction in seeing the trail grow. I use my xyron for larger paper piecings, and frames. I detest glue sticks--they are a goopy mess, and going back to earlier layouts where I have added really complicated punchart (Sesame St. characters, Star Wars characters for detailed borders)the glue stick has discolored the different cardstock pieces, and they look terrible after all that detail work! I'd have to say that my favorite is the Hermafix- either the sticky dot or tab version. I use the tabs on my pictures and the sticky dot on embellishments and what not. I love that it's repositionable. As far as worst adhesive- I'm not a big glue fan. Too messy for me!

Hermafix! I use the tabs for my pictures and mats and also use 8 tabs to adhere my background paper to CM pages when I wallpaper. I like the blue dots for diecuts and little things. I use my xyron for punchies and letters (before I punch or cut) and if something is really tiny I use a sailor glue pen. If I go to a crop I can survive with just the two types of Hermafix.
