How to start

I want to start a family scrapbook,I have bought the book glue, started collecting scraps of materaials, also have the photographs, now now need ideas, Please help

Hi! and Welcome! There are lots of ideas here at sb.com... the latest addition being the Community Layout Gallery..that's where we can post out finished layouts... also, there is a featured artist everyday and archives of previous FA's! There are TONS of talented people here that can help with your specific questions, too! The main thing you need to do BEFORE you start is make sure that all the materials you intend to use with your photo's is acid free. Sort your photo's either in chronilogical order or by event... and if you have any specific questions just pop back and ask...it doesn't hurt to read other posts that sound like the topic might give you some ideas either...attending a crop at a local scrapbook store (lss) is also a great way to start... and lss I have ever been in is usually run by people with a passion for pictures who are eager to share their skills and knowledge! Take a deep breath and have some fun!

If you ever have a specific picture that you are just completly stuck on... tell us!!! We love making pages in our heads and then telling you ALL about them.

I just finished an album for my mother and mother in law, and since I can work out of order (top loading pages) I just kept flipping through pictures until one inspired me, scrapped that, and then went back to flipping.
