Glue For Vellum Paper

Will the " Permanent glue stick" work on vellum? I have bought a pack of that kind recently. I would try myself but dont have that paper! Or if anyone knows of better types of glue for vellum, please let me know. Thanks!

wacky tac vellum tape.

i dont use much vellum, but when i do if im not using brads or eyelets, i just use a tiny amount of a glue runner and thats always worked for me.

So you tape it on the top or do you stick it from the back? I'm sorry I have no idea!

I vote for vellum tape or brads for fastening vellum. Vellum tape is like two-sided tape with a backing on one side. You cut a piece of vellum tape, stick it on where you want to stick the vellum, sort of rub on top to adhere it, and then peel off the backing. Then you place the vellum on top and it's usually invisible (apparently it doesn't work with some vellums). Regular glue is usually visible through vellum. I hope that helps!

I use lots of vellum and the best adhesive that I have found is the Creative Memories clear photo splits.

Of course the very best method is not to use any adhesive at all where it will show. Use brads or eyelets to hold things down and only use an adhesive where you will place a photo over the vellum.

Definately makes it a challenge!

I used NO adhesive on this vellum LO:

Most of the time I use my Xyron. eyelets work too. I have even sort of "framed" it using ribbon after running it through my Xyron..works great:)

I was going to say Wacky Tack Vellum tape too - love it - just got a roll of it last week and I wish I had had it before. It works great.

I love Wacky Tack Vellum tape.....I started using it about a year ago and have found nothing that works as well on vellum!!! Never shows through!!!!

I have also found that those teeny tiny dots that are adhesive for die cuts works great too. And the best part is, you can see it through the velum. I will definitely have to look for the Wacky Tack. Hugs, Des

i must say i learned the hard way that glue stick shows through, and looks yucky. i wouldn't have learned what to do if it wasn't for this site.

currently i use scotch vellum tape, but i ordered wacky tac from qvc, can't wait for it to get here

I like the Wacky Tack and if the piece is small enough, I run it through the Xyron. No muss, no fuss!
