Anyone here working on HOF or PK contest pages?

Howdy Tammy! Just how many pages ya got going there? I'm excited to get started...just finishing off some Valentines first. Crazy me got involved in a Valentine swap! Fun, but, "what was I thinking?!"

I don't know if I will enter the HOF or not. I may enter just for the discount on the book! That was worth it last year!
I am seriously thinking about the PK though.

Janet, I have done 5 DPS and 1 single page here recently that I *think* MAY be possibilities. You know how sometimes after looking over the page awhile later you think, eh? But I am sure 3 of them are pretty strong.
I am very unsure if I will try for both. Not sure if I have it in me to do that many pages. I have the wait and see attitude on PK.

I have selected about 5 layouts that I have done already and I have 3 more that need to be done - 1 am waiting on the photos to come back from the developer. Call me crazy, but I figure I'd try yet one more year.

HOF is the Hall of Fame contest put on my Creating Keepsakes magazine. They get hundreds of submission pages from people for the contest and they go through and pick the 25 top scrapbookers to put in the HOF idea book. There have been 2 of these contest so far, one in 1999 and one in 2000.
PK is PaperKuts magazine who are going to be doing a contest too.

Sounds like everybody is trying out for the Hall versus the PK thing. Good luck everybody, I think some of the people here stand a really good chance. Can't wait to find out who makes it!

I'm going to do PK because I already took the pictures of the layouts. But I'm not doing HOF. I don't have enough new layouts. And I don't think they'd pick me anyway.

I'm trying for the CK HOF and the PK contest. I'm also trying out for the CK lettering contest. Wish me luck. I almost ready to send in my entries for CK and PK, but I'm still working on the lettering contest.

Actually I think this is the fifth year. I think they had the 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and now 2003 HOF competitions. In fact if you go to Creating Keepsakes website you can even look back and see the lists from every year and a sample layout from each winner.
My understanding is that they had between 2,000 and 2,500 entries last year and I have heard predictions that there will be over 3,000 entries this year. So yes, the competition is unbelieveable.
Having said that, I still think I might give it a try. IF I can get 16 layouts done. Since I am just starting my first layout today, it might be difficult!! LOL!! But we'll see.
