Windows for tags?

Ok I need help with something, I am just begining to mess with tags and want to make one with the "windows" where you put stuff inside.. What do I use for the window.. I know how to do it and the tape to get but I don't know what is durable for a window area! Any suggestions would be helpful.. thanks.. Angie

I have heard to use page protectors or overhead transparencies.

If you ever use the Jolee stickers you can save the plastic piece that they are adhered to. They are clear enough to see through but sturdier than page protectors. They work great on small projects.

I use page protectors. The only shaker boxes I've done is on tags and they've all turned out pretty cute. I run a line of glue around the inside of the "window" and place the cut out page protector over it and let it dry. I then put the other side that has the foam tape and the goodies inside it and put them together.

Actually you can use alot of things depending on what materials you are using in the window. You can use vellum, translucent paper, mesh etc.

Actually I use something called "Window Plastic" I got it years ago at a rubber stamping convention when we were all making window cards.
Recently someone sent me a tag that was the front, back, and window completely made, you only needed to add the foam tape and the fiber. I raved about them and asked where to get them, and she sent me a couple of packages. Her Mike's in TN. had them in stock--they are bound to find their way to Los Angeles sometime in the next decade!

Thanks for the advice.. I went to Walmart and grabed some plastic laminating sheets for pictures cause it is a little thicker than the page protectors and I wanted to put some pointier stuff in there and not worrie about it poking thru.. haven't used it yet but think it will do the job... I used the jolees sticker backing for one and it worked perfect.. thanks agian.. angie
