How to organize time line

Hi everyone
I've been "playing" around for the last few months trying to get my craft room organized and now I'm to the point of really beginning to get the "work" flowing. I even posted 3 cards that I've made (yeh)

Anyway, my question is - how do you organize the time line of when you make cards? Do you sit down and plan a certain # of months ahead with the calendar of birthday's & anniversaries you know is coming up & make them.

I try to set down a week or two before the end of the month and look at my planner for the next month's birthdays, etc. and make the cards I need. I do this for two reasons. I make a monthly recap page for my chronological scrapbooks and I always include a picture of the cards for the month. It has to be taken at the start before I start mailing them out. Also, I always know I'm ready for the month, and won't have to hurry around to make last minute cards.

Thanks for the advice. I definitely will incorporate your suggestions. I found myself working ahead of "schedule" and almost got into a mess I had an idea for my sister's birthday card and have been working on her card for the last couple of days, her birthday is not until the end of August. But then looking at the calendar realized I have nieces birthday in the midde of July that I need to get busy with.
