I've always been a stickler for cleaning my stamps after every use but the more comfortable I get with stamping the more times I find myself just stamping off the stamps on scrap paper until they're clean. Especially when I use lighter colored inks. Seems like a chore to wash them every time. I was just curious as to how many people do it this way?
I'm definitely getting lazier about cleaning them. Sometimes I use a stamp cleaner or take them to the sink and rise them off. I've been stamping them off a lot more lately, especially with inks that don't really wash off anyway.
I have a spray bottle of water and some napkins by my desk and after I stamp I wet a napkin and clean it off, every dot of ink! I don't always get everything but I do try. I think I'm too fussy but I do like my stamps clean...
I typically use a stamp cleaner and pad or a baby wipe to clean my stamps. I've gotten lazier and don't clean my stamps immediately after using them but I still like to clean them, especially after using my Versamark ink pad since it's sticky.
I use these cleaners and a pad similar to this scrubber:
I use the staz on cleaner for their inks and take the others to the kitchen sink (when The Queen is gone) and use Dial & water with a used toothbrush to clean them. Maybe it's a guy thing but, "you take care of your tools and your tools will take care of you".
I use a stamp cleaner. I let a friend of mine use a few stamps and they came like they've been through a war. I am fussy my stamps look brand new and I keep them in the same packages I purchased them in. I tried cleaning the ones I got back and no way was I able to clean them, They look horrible. I tried stmap cleaner on them, soap n water and nothing makes them cleaner.
I am extremely lazy about cleaning my stamps. I usually just stamp them off on a scratch paper or use some water and a paper towel. I do have some stamp cleaner but i rarely use it.
I have found that since using my stampin' scrub by Stampin' Up! I actually stamp more because my stamps are easier to clean. I love it. It was one of the reasons I decided to join Stampin' Up! Totally the best invention ever.

I use the Stampin' Up stamp cleaner. I keep it on my desk and I find that I'm much better at making sure my stamps get cleaned.
I used to use a stamp cleaner tray that I had for a million years. I had to wet it and then scrub my stamp on it. the problem was that I needed to dry my stamps as well, and they used to end up lint on them. With the SU scrubber, I spritz the stamp with cleaner, rub it on one side of the cleaning pad to clean, and then on the other side to dry -- no lint and nice and clean stamps!!
I try to keep my stamps as clean as possible. Once, I saw a post where the person actually covered wood stamps with clear nail polish so it is easy to wipe off the ink (just in case). I did actually contemplate doing that to me stamps, but I have hundreds of them and it would take me forever...
Why can't I be one of those people who just stamp away and don't care what they look like? I saw a video with TH where he just stamps away, wipes off the excess quickly and moves on. The block was covered in ink...no worries.
I'm picky about wanting my stamps as clean as possible, but many of my stamps came to me second hand and not clean to begin with. I have the stamp cleaners and the stamp pad a lot of you have mentioned. But I keep a huge tub of baby wipes right at my studio and immediately wipe my stamps with them after use. Usually, the baby wipes perfectly clean them. If not, I use the cleaner(s) and/or go to the sink and wash them with soap and warm water. I just really like to keep them in the best shape as I can. The ones I got that are in bad shape, I just try to get as clean as possible and go from there. Note: if they're wood, I dry them with a towel immediately, so I don't ruin the wood.
I like to have clean stamps as well. I use the Stampin' Mist cleaner and the Stampin' Scrub to clean my stamps. If I use Stazon or craft inks, i will use the Stazon cleaner and then clean them with the Stampin' Mist cleaner. This helps to condition the stamps as well.
The stazon cleaner can be hard on photopolymar stamps, so I try not to use this cleaner on them.
Hi, I use baby wipes. What ever is thick and cheap. I prefer unscented ones, with aloe and alcohol free. I put some essential oil in the container (lavender) which is very relaxing. I suggest if you have a stamp n scrub from Stampin Up, you toss it in the trash. Think about this... How many times do you use the scrubber and how often do you clean it? It is a breeding ground for nasty germs and bacteria.
I do clean my stamps with the baby wipes as I go along. Even another perk is they can be easily recycled. Just toss them with your other paper recyclables.

This is me. I do use a lot of pigment inks which kind of gross them up. For these I keep some non alcohol baby wipes nearby. Otherwise i just stamp them off. I keep a hug calendar on my desk so i just stamp them off onto that.

The pads on the stampin cleaner pop out so you can run them under water to clean them. I clean mine periodically, and especially after heavy use. I use the stampin mist cleaner on the pad/stamp when I clean, and it works like a charm for me!

I rarely clean mine. Just stamp them off but I did purchase the stamp shammy. I use it if I think to wet it.
