Dollar Store

I ran into my local dollar general today to pick up a few items. I happened to walk by an area that had scrapbooking supplies . I was amazed that even the dollar store sells stuff. They had paper packs for $1.00 they had a 12 inch cutter that was $7.00 and plus they had stickers and it was all on SALE!! I got my cutter for $5.25 YEAH!!! I can't believe what a bargain. I've had some great bargains at the dollar store and some real clunkers too. Make sure the paper says acid and lignin free -- I bought a whole bunch that wasn't (used it for kids crafts and cards, tho, so that wasn't so bad).

i buy from the dollar tree all the time. they are a hit and miss sort of dollar store and it depends on which one in which town you are in as to what kind of variety they carry. EVERYTHING is $1 in that store so it's sooooo easy for me to blow $20 before i walk about of there but my bag is soooo full!

The Dollar Tree is awesome! at my Dollar Tree, they have mini punches, paper crinkers (it crinks designs in the paper), decorative scissors, alphabet stickers, stickers, paper packs, cardstock packs, 8 inch trimmer, all kinds of goodies. My Mom loves that store. Some of the pps are pretty, but they are really thin! They also have metals now and mounting squares, glue, etc! If there is one near any of you, check it out! I have a friend that lives 2 hours from me and she said that they have a huge selection of stuff. She bought me 5 packs of the Paperbilities (Wal-Mart) cardstock. I love my Bazzill cardstock, but I have been using that cardstock for the backing on my layouts. Prices of pp is .99 a sheet at my LSS now, so if I can cut pieces and adhere to the cheap cardstock to save some money. Like, if I need an 8x8 piece of pp and most of the center will be covered, I will cut the center out and leave like a one inch border around. Did I lose you on that?

Check out the plastic flowers there too. Some work out great for LOs! I have used them in mine. (I tested them with my pH pen first. )

Walmart carries them for like $14.00 also Hobby Lobby and Michaels and you can get Coupon s offline for Hobby Lobby, good luck finding one.

i love the dollar stores too!! i found some really cute pp at mine and haven't really had time to explore to much b/c of my new puppy.

I have found some supplies at Dollar tree but a store here Special Thoughts carrys a lot.

The dollar stores are an untapped resource! I've never noticed the scrapbooking supplies now I feel like I should run over to one right no!

Well, I just used my paper cutter and it is pretty nice, not bad for $5 the ruler doesn't lift up like most of them but that is okay. It still cuts.

It's so fun to see what the dollar stores have. I've picked up scrapbooking supplies at my Dollar Tree, as well. Last time I went, they really had some nice stickers (Acid-Free, Lignon-Free). I also picked up some AF-LF cardstock, and a punch or two.
Other stuff I like to buy there are storage cotainers, gift bags and tissue paper. It's unbelievable that the gorgeous bags you can get are only $1!

I love the dollar store for scrapbook supplies and The Dollar Tree is the best one around. I got one of those paper crinklers also. Every time I go in there I head straight for the scrapbook section and pick up tons of papers.

I've also gotten quite a bit at Dollar Tree. They have nice paper packs but like someone else said, the paper is thin. It's ok to use along with cardstock. I've also gotten quite a few letter stickers there. They have some cute funky styles. I don't care for the metal embellishments. I think they look cheap (JMO of course). I've also found spools of ribbon with Michael's labels on them.

There's a dollar store in one of the local malls. It's just a generic dollar store but I recently discovered they have a section of SB supplies. I bought a few paper packs that had some really nice patterns. I have so much paper so I only buy something if I know I'll use it. I don't buy just because it's only $1.00.
