Sorry but what is a **Flapper Scrappers**?

I've been wondering that myself.

flapper scrappers are a group of women who are in their twenties who just get together and chat and do challenges.

I was suppose to study at school today.. and I of course forgot alot of books. so I read for like 2 hours before I had to go home again ( takes about 1 hour to get home including some train waiting)... but now i'm done reading today's planned stuff.

I have a qestion though, why Flapper what does that word mean?

I want to be a Flapper Scrapper! I just turned 21!

Got back from my honeymoon in Kenya (check out the pics in my gallery) and have been keeping up with the threads but haven't been writing much. Not much going on here, the weather is getting a little warmer but not much, just happy not to have to wear gloves and a scarf. Celebrating our 6 month anniversary with dinner and a movie tomorrow. Hope everyone else has a nice weekend.

Oh, thanks so much for the compliments. If you ever want to go on a safari I highly recommend it. We only went on a one-day safari and saw all these animals. If you go definitely make it longer it is worth it. We regret not going for longer. But we say there is always next time, maybe! It so much cooler seeing them in the wild than behind cages at the zoo.

So....drum roll....I got a job offer at a semi-local high school!!! The only down side is that it is 60 miles away from home which is about an hour drive and the insurance does not cover the hospital where I live... I have to let them know if I accept the job or not tomorrow! No stress here, LOL!

Morning! I just wanted to let everyone know that as of this afternoon, I probably won't be online until Sunday. I'm spending time with my MiMi e for Easter.

I saw something on CNN about predators (I don't think you guys are dangereous, but if someone random came on the site just to look for someone they might be) that can find out anything by having a part of your name, picture and your location. It kind of scared me because they are not just targeting little kids anymore. So, I decided to change my name and stuff.

if your worried about pics, don't forget about pics in your lo's. i'm thinking that crazy people don't come search this site much, but you never know. i have a flickr page so my family can see pics of my dd all the time. (their all out of state). well, this one wierd guy kept leaving comments about my dd, and how beutiful she was and things like that. he added me as a contact and put some of dd's pics as his favs. sure he could have been just a nice guy, but i doubt it. so, i blocked him, and made all my pics private so only my contacts could see the pics.

is their going to be a new challenge. if so i have an idea. i'll share it if you don't mind. pick one word to describe you and scrap it. you must have journaling to explain why you are this word (for ex. i would pick strong bc i am bipolar and i keep on pushing myself to make it in the real world...). i got this idea bc every month on the last page of womans day, their is a word with the definiation and all sorts of fun with the word. just an idea!

I'm back from the mountains. it was a nice trip, but windy. But I got some color in my face! it's probably gone tomorrow or so though.

today I need to do some school work and I wil relax as well. tomorrow is back to school.

Happy Easter (or the day after) I hope everyone got to spend time with family and relax and maybe eat a little too much chocolate! I only had the weekend off, State Schools tend not to give Easter Vacations, only Spring Break, which is in the middle of March and it's usually still snowing here, instead of spring!

My mom's whole family was actually home to celebrate with us. We haven't all been together for a holiday in over 3 years. That's pretty sad, if you ask me. It was so nice to actually spend the day with everyone.

My birthday is coming up on Thursday, I'll be 22. Bobby's going to leave work a little early and we're going to PetSmart, then to the Olive Garden, and then back to town to go do Karaeoke with our friends, like we always do on Thursday nights! I hope it's nice on Thursday, too. I might just sit outside all day and enjoy the weather for once!

Morning! Hope everyone had a godd Easter holiday. I spent mine in the hospital, twice, with my MiMi e. My dh and I left Thursday and got to her house just in time to help my aunt get her clothes together. She came home Saturday to spent Easter with the family, but I awoke to hear my Poppie on the phone with my mom at 6 am... We had to go back.

Well we had a quite Easter but a good one, my DH and I invited the next door neighbors for dinner, (I think I miss cooking for my kids) I hope everything is okay with your family. How are you and the baby feeling..it wont be long now and you'll be a mommy right?

Other than exhausted, I'm doing great. I'm finally starting to look pregnant and not just fluffy, and also starting to feel little flutters. I'm just shy of halfway there... My dh and I can't wait to find out who we have on our hands!

My cousin called late last night and said that MiMi e looks a little better than she did Sunday. I think the radiation treatments are just getting to her. The dr said she'll get a week off before starting chemo and another treament of radiation. It just bothers me to see her hurt so bad.

Oh sweet heart my heart goes out to you, its not pleasant watching someone you love in pain. My mom had cancer she passed away in 2000, so my prayers go out to you and your family. God bless

Hello... sorry its been awhile .. I've been spending my time on the April NO shopping challenge board and actually scrappin!! I posted some of my simple layouts.. Only occassionaly do I do the involved ones with the good photos.. since taking such a long break I'm more into knocking them out these days getting the "everyday snapshots" scrapped!! I've got some KILLER cute pictures of my daughter and her daddy (and myself really) ready to scrap though from this easter!! Well.. see ya around!!

Hi everyone...I decided to take the job, so I am an officially employed graduate (soon to be)!

**Warning** This post contains a sad story...Don't read if you are experiencing a good day

Ok, so I have to spill something about what I am feeling, because I am really upset about this new job...I know, wierd, huh?

I taught HS for 2 years and went back to college hoping to teach at a community college (cc). A job opened up at a CC and I applied, but was told that my chances of getting the job were slim--tough competition. So, in the mean time, I had to let the HS know whether or not I wanted to accept the job, but that means that I do not get to apply to the cc.

Now that I have made the decision to take the safe route and keep the job I was offered and not apply for my "dream" job, I feel so depressed! What do you do when a dream gets broken? These last two years of my life were spent preparing for my dream! Now I have turned my back on it...

Maybe the high school job will turn out to be better than I am expecting...maybe my small kit club will take off and I can just run my scrapbooking business and not teach...maybe...but what if I never get over it???
