How would I glue coins?

Hi,

I have this page I am working on for my England scrapbook, and I want to glue some of the coins on to it. Anybody know what kind of glue I could use for that? Or would some sort of tape work better?

I just started scrapbooking, so I really don't know much yet.

I would just use Glue Dots for them. They hold the heavier things without a problem.

Actually, I would probably use a memorbilia pocket with adhesive on the back. This way, you could remove the coins later to look at them without destroying your page.

I was thinking a vellum or pocket also, I dont know that I would glue coins directly on my sb page. I had some Nostalgiques stickers that were coins and i loved using those. I would definitely use a pocket.

ditto on the pocket. i use these for all sorts of memorabilia in my albums.

I agree on the pocket if you want to peek at the coins later.

However, I am planning on doing a lo using tokens from an arcade trip with my son. I am gluing the tokens to the center of flowers using Tombo mono. Works great for metal embellies- holds fast and dries quick. and since I am using more than one, I can see both sides without any trouble.

I used glue with nickels, but over time it fell, then I used double side tape that I use for other things.

cool idea about the pockets. I have coins from other places, and haven't figured out how I'm going to use them.

where do I find pockets?

The pockets are a great idea, I've used Glue Dots for afixing coins before, so far they'be held.

I have purchased vellum pockets and white pockets. Look at michaels, jo's or Hobby Lobby. I got the vellum ones from ACmoore. Often they come with a tag in them.

I'd use a pocket as well. Not only would I not want a coin to damage my page, I wouldn't want to damage what might be a collectible coin as well.

I used a page from a guide book that showed all of the coins.

I also bought a bigger pound note at the LSS this weekend. It was around 1 1/2" x 2", glossy cardstock, for $.49.

I used a pocket or mini envie. That way you could take them out and look at both sides of the coin.

i have used Glue Dots as well and mine are still holding up nicely. never thought about using a envelope to take them out once in awhile and look at. That is a really good idea.

You could also use the coin holders that coin collectors use. The white part could be covered with paper or paint to match your LO.
