A GREAT WAY TO PRESERVE YOUR MAT TO REMAIN STICKY, IS USING QUILT BASTING SPRAY! I GOT THIS IDEA FROM MY SCRAPBOOKING BUDDIES WHO I MEET WITH ONCE A MONTH. YOU WON'T HAVE TO BUY MATS EVER.

SPRAY THE MAT VERY VERY LIGHTLY. THE MAT WILL REMAIN STICKY FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME. YOU CAN PURCHASE THIS CAN IN ANY SEWING STORE OR AT WALMART.

I use repositionable Xyron 850 or 900 for my Wishblade mats. I made a terrible mess with the spray adhesive first time around and won't try that again. One roll of Xyron will last you forever if you're only refreshing your mat.

Don't forget to wash the mat. Alot of times, just washing with warm water it enough to refresh the stickiness. Also beware that it's not too sticky, tearing your papers the first few times. If this is a concern, press the mat against a clean t-shirt or similar material. It will tone down the stickiness to where it will be safe for your papers.

also keep in mind that doing this to your Cricut mat WILL void the warranty on your machine.

I have been using Krylon Easy-Tack Repositionabel Adhesive 7020, and been doing what Vivian does.

The warranty is only for a year though.. so anytime after that and you're good to go. I recently read that you could use a ZIG jumbo glue pen to make your mats sticky again... I bought one, but cleaning my mats with baby wipes seemed to do the trick for now!
