How to preserve tickets

Topic Closed

    Hey everybody,

    I'm still new to scrapbooking.
I'm doing a scrapbook about the year I spent in the US as an Au Pair... and I kept all these movie and plane tickets....
Some of them are already starting to fade, so I wanted to know if there's anything I can do to stop them from fading? For example would putting clear packaging tape over them help?
I don't really have the money to buy any expensive sprays and stuff that I read about on here... any DIY tips? Thanks so much

Copy them on photo safe paper and some papers you can laminate. Some people don't like to do that, but I do both.

Clear packing tape will most likely yellow over time.

Laminating will also NOT protect against fading and yellowing.

Other than scrapchica's suggestion of copying, I don't know of any foolproof way to preserve them.

I'm not even sold on the sprays. I highly doubt they work.

Mine are fading in my books also. So I went back and hand drew over the main words/letters with permanent thin tipped markers. From now on I will photo copy them right away onto photo paper or take a picture with my camera and print on photo paper.

Oh and... welcome to this site and scrapbooking.
