6" minc

I am tossing up whether to purchase the small minc. ( Its on special right now here....still pretty costly for a tool though)

I have a laminator which I think will work with the foil (my initial attempt was a success, but it was not on a large foiled area, just a title printed off the printer for a card)

The thing that annoys me is how long it takes to heat up. The minc looks to heat up almost instantly....well within a minute anyway

I also have not tried the minc foils with the laminator, and I have a few I have ordered which are on their way to me.... if you have a laminator....are the minc foils successful on it?

If you are a scrapbooker....do you use it much? I am worried I will invest $$$ in this machine and it will sit idle in my room for 360 days of the year .... only coming out from time to time lol.

I love the look of the minc spray and paint....I think they would make it more appealing to scrapbookers, but then do I need the bigger machine? (which I dont really want to have to find room for)

The 6" is a good deal if you think you will not use it alot. I bought the 12" when it was first released and while I LOVE it, I wish I would have waited for the six inch one. MINC foils WILL NOT work in a laminator. The machine does not get hot enough. The minc has different heat settings and you set those depending on what you are working with. The heat setting number is always on the packet of MINC product you buy. If you want to forgo the cost and just use your laminator, Therm-o-web foils are the way to go. They work fine with laminators.

I just use my laminator with the deco-foils. I don't feel that I would use it enough to justify the purchase.
