EK Success - Cutterpede Trimmer

I just bought one at Walmart for $17.99 (thought it was a great price). Can anyone give me feedback on the product? I have the Provo Cutter now and life it but was looking for something that has a better straight edge when cutting paper.

I really like mine and I use it all the time. I've only had it for about 6 months now and I do use it regularly...so I've noticed that I will need to replace the blade soon, since it isn't cutting as well as it did in the beginning. I'm glad I bought it.

I love mine! They also have new blades like the scorer, perferator, zigzag, waves, and a few others that you can use instead of the small cutterpedes.

I bought over a year ago the Fiskars Rotary Trimmer with the same blades as mentioned above. There's one thing, though. You will need to switch the green bar in your cutter (I also about the Cutterpede as well because it was easier for me to carry at crops.). Otherwise, the fancy blades you use will not cut evenly. I actually wrote on my black Fiskars bar what type of blade then when I need to use that blade, I switch the bar to that particular cut.

I think I"m one of the few that doens't like the cutterpede. I LOVED it when I first bought it...and then it wouldn't cut straight anymore. I was cutting cuts that were very very uneven; almost as if I was putting my paper down at a slant...but, I knew I wasn't cause I was lining it up on the cutting lines, so I know it was the plastic secure thing and the blade cutting crooked.

I bought the carl paper trimmer...and loved it, until I realized, I couldn't trim off anything less than an inch or so because it was difficult to keep the paper lined up and straight.

so I have been using the new CM paper trimmer since it came out. So far, I've been totally loving it!! I can trim 1/4", make equilateral triangles, non-equilateral triangles, all at perfect 30 degree or 45 degree angles. and my cuts are STRAIGHT! lol...

Yeah. Thanks for mentioning that Laura I forgot to! Dawn, it probably quit cutting straight when the cutting pad wore down. Flipping the green cutting strip will start it cutting straight again.

I really like mine!! I just got mine not too long ago because I was tired of my Fiskars not cutting straight. I really want to get the special cutting blades but haven't seen them at my walmart.

I really like mine too! I've been using the same blade for about 7 months and it's still working great!

tried that...I even bought a new cutting mat. still cuts crooked....I'm thinking that it's probably the arm that you bring up and down to cut that somehow got offcentered or something.

well...I have the CM trimmer and I really really like it so far. we'll see how I like it 6 months from now...
