I have two Fiskars trimmers that have served me well for years. The smaller one is great for crops because it's so light. It worked well when I had a very small workspace, too. I now have a room and I keep the larger trimmer on my table all of the time.

My least favorite was the one you had. I had two, and both squeeled until they died. I also had a harder time getting a straight cut with that one, but my Fiskars trimmers cut straight unless I get in a hurry. Any crooked cut is user error with my Fiskars'.

I have had the basic Fiskars trimmer since I began scrapbooking. It still works great. I've thought about getting the Fiskars trimmer blade style F since it can cut in scalloped lines. It's hard to make myself buy a new one since the old one works so well.

I have been thru them all. I am now using a guillotine cutter. My Fiskars ate up my blades at an alarming rate (I cut a lot of glitter paper). Thinking of the by pass cutter, Just not so sure.

I still have my Fiskars; can't see getting anything else. Still using the original blade, too.

Wow, Suebird, original blade?! I must use too much paper. I use my original gray Fiskars too but have changed the blade so many times, I can't even count. I worry I won't be able to get the blades anymore. When that happens, I'll use my daughter's trimmer that she left with me when she moved out. It's a new Fiskars but she didn't like it. I think it works fine. Must have been operator error. Ssshhhh, don't tell her I said that.

Yeah, original blade. I have some spares....somewhere. Get some spare blades for your grey Fiskars while you can.

Don't worry, I won't say a word to your daughter.
