Cricut help!

I purchased the "My Community" cart. and I can not figure out how to do the layering. For instance, a man with brown hair, yellow tie, blue shirt, and red pants. I've looked online for demonstrations, but I can't find any. Please Help!!

You have to select the "layers" key (upper left on the keypad), along with the character you want. You will need to do the cut a few times using different color paper with each pass. I hope this helps!

You'll cut your man in brown/beige/whatever color you want as the base for him.

Then, you'll press the layer button and you'd cut on brown, yellow, blue AND red -- so you'd cut it 4 times. There's no way to separate out each individual part of the layer except with Design Studio (at least I think you can do that with DS, but I don't know). So, you'll wind up with a bunch of extra pieces.

Yes, this can be done in DS- its called "hidden contour" my SB.com buddy Jackie (Creater1) figured this out so i thought i'd pass it on.

if you have DS then get your image on your mat, left click on the image that you do NOT want to cut to select it then right click and click on the box that say hide contour. HTH

Thanks all! I have DS, but I'm STILL trying to figure THAT out too! THAT will be my next project!
