Any one know what I can use on my cards to keep the chalk from rubbing off?

There is a fixative spray you can get or you can use stampin up chalks they don't rub off-very cool!

I do use SUchalks, I am a demo and they rub off if I rub the card front.

I have heard that hair spray can fix this.

dont use hairspray, its not acid free, hair spray only works on art pieces that you dont plan on protecting.. there is a spray, blair odor free fixative spray... and its acid free...

thanks everyone who helped out.
Back to making my Christmas Cards and Now I know I can use the chalks and they won't rub off after putting the fixative on it.

I've taken a clean cotton ball and rubbed over my chalked areas. That seems to act like a fixative. It doesn't rub off afterwards.

Use a very lite spray of very cheap hairspray. It works great on pearl ex - and will work on chalks too!! Good Luck!!

Really?? Because this was a big selling point demonstarted to me by a consultant and I was considering switching!! Interesting!

ANY chalk is going to rub off - it just sits on top of the paper or card stock - you will see the color faintly but the chalk will rub off and get on things. That is why I like to just spray lightly over it. I love chalks and use them on alot of projects!!

Yea since these are going tobe the Christmas cards I send out, I want to make sure nothing comes off on other things.

Krylon makes a few sprays: Preserve It!, Fixatif, Clear acrylic Coating, and a host of other brands make these fixatives as well. In the art dept of the BB stores (AC Moore, Michaels) or even Walmart might have some in the paint dept.
