Has anyone made a clear acrylic album yet? If so, what type of adhesive did you use? Any picture, please post them here! Thanks a bunch!

yep, I've made several, they're quite fun!

I like to use spray adhesive on paper. It is clear and makes a great bond with the acrylic. Glue Dots are handy with embellishments.

I like to use Stazon ink to stamp on the acrylic and ink around the edges.

I've used Zip Dry paper glue. Glue Dots (esp on flowers.. but I do glue them on both sides of the page so as to hide it). I've also used regular adhesive when I put paper on both sides of the page to hide the adhesive lines.

Here are a few I've done:

I'm working on one myself. How do you take advantage of it being clear? I feel like I'm using it as though it were just a regular book, just that I'm making sure to hide the tape on the back side. What am I doing wrong?

I have not made one before, but looking at the ones I've seen, it appears they make their last page with more stuff on it, so that it shows through on the page before. A little less on that page, so it shows through the page before and so on.... just a guess. I've bought stuff to make one, but haven't had the time!! Trying to collect my ideas before trying one.

I've made a couple acrylic albums (there's one in my gallery). I don't cover the whole page in patterned paper ; the purpose of it being clear is so that you can see yummy embellishments from the pages behind it peep out of others. I ALWAYS use double sided patterned paper , as well as flowers, buttons, paint and rub ons, because they look pretty from both sides. It does take some planning of where you'll put in the photos etc., but remember to HAVE FUN!!! As for adhesives I use Ranger's Glossy accents or Judikins Diamondglaze, vellum runner and Zots.

I try not to put too many things on one page.. I actually put embellies on one quadrant per page. When you stack all of them together, it seems like you've got a lot, but when you open each page, there are actually some 'white space' where you can peek into the next page...

    Love Clear Album - Pg 6 & 7

This page actually shows the next page when you stack them together. Looks like you've got 2 photos on one page, but in reality, it's only 1 photo per page... here is the top page:

Engagement Photos Gift Album - Page 6

I also love using rub-ons because you get more of the clear background that way. But it's a personal choice. I like to leave some 'clear space'. Some scrappers like to paint the background to give it a different look.

VH678--To contribute to answering your question, I did an awesome workshop that used a combo of acrylic & chipboard pages, because, as someone said, it defeats purpose if you cover all of the acrylic pages. It's a good way to start too, as all acrylic album can get alittle overwhelming. After I chose my colors, I went through my stash/shopped for bellies I could put back to back on acrylic pages. Rub ons and clear stamp flourishes, etc. are GREAT FOR ACRYLIC PAGES. I'll repeat (cuz it's important): HAVE FUN creating your album!

my friend did a clear book at CHA in a Prima class and they suggested using fabri tac for the adhesive.

I used liquid glass for adhesive and tried the larger at back small at front type pattern... So when the book is closed you can see bits of the back page....
