I got to meet Kathy and Aleta last night. WE had a blast just chatting. THEY are some great ladies, but then you already knew that. hehe.

I'm in Mona and Kim's room in Baton Rouge, and we just figured out how to get the internet on our TV. We had an "adventurous" day yesterday - I'm sure the details will leak out later.
We'll check in later in the day. Now it's time to go to the Waffle House to get our energy for the day.

We had a BLAST!!! It was so much fun!! And everyone at least met Taunja's quota for the crop!! We DID scrap! And we had enough supplies to open a store!!

We had great fun shoppin! We were serenaded and watched a pole dance! Everyone learned to speak Cajun and enjoyed King Cake.

Aleta is our Queen of Adventure and the trip cost her the most!
Kathy is our Queen of Shopping!

I'm back too! Had a blast!! actually that's an understatement. I think I'm fully scrapbook supplied now and I won't run out of Depends for a LONG time!

Hey, everyone - I made it back home! What a great experience! We truely have a wonderful bunch of neighbors here, and I'm so lucky to be able to meet some of them.
It will take some time for me to unpack and put away all my shopping, but let me tell you this... In case you ever wonder about the true usefulness of your tools, just talk to AletaD about it - she found a new and amazing use for a button shank remover!

yeah Aleta, you should write the company and let them know the new use for the button shank remover! Maybe they'll give you a big contract and an endorsment for the product just like Michael Jordan and Nike!

Yeah I'm back too. (Acutally I got home at 9:30 this morning.) I unpacked the car (took 30 minutes) and left to go to a Mardi Gras parade with my sister at 10:30. Had fun but after 2 REALLLLY LATE night, I am tired.


IT was wonderful and I have so much to say. SO bear with me. FIRST: everyone was so nice. Thye are truly wonderful people. I wish everyone could have been there.

Thanks to Kathy and Susan for helping to do this. IT was great and I can't wait to do it next year. IT will take at least that long to recover.

Aleta: Thanks for you help Thursday night filling the goodie bags. You are a great person, and ladies: SHE DIDN"T HAVE TO USE HER CANE ON ME!!! She is very funny, exciting, brave, and resourceful. Hope you had a SAFE trip back home. Mary (Aleta's daughter) and Krissy (aleta's granddaughter) joined us. VEry glad that you came. Sweet people.

Tuanja: NOT what I expected! SHE HAS BLONDE hair, not black hair. SHe made us laugh all day. SORRY you didn't get to go on a swamp tour. NExt year we will plan on booking one for you.

Moonflower: ANgela is wonderful. VERY quiet, but soooo nice. HEr husband is soo great. HE stayed with us all day, and never complained. He shopped, took pictures, and even helped us pack up at the end of the night.

Detrop: ANgie, (Now is it hard to remember there screen names. lol!) Such a sweet person. Even if she didn't get her dessert at dinner Friday night (sorry about that BTW, I just found out about it and I feel sad.)

Myarrows: Kim, is soo funny. A little shorter than I expected, but then everyone is compared to me. HEr whole family was so sweet. Britt worked harder than any of us, I think.

Pomberner: Kim C. WHAT A RIOT. SHe sernaded us with opera arias, while dancing on the luggage cart. We applauded and threw beads.

Bihu: poke, poke, time to wake up girl!

Kathy: DID you get ANY pages done? She brought all of her things, but I never saw her scrap. BUT thanks for sharing you stuff. LOL! Hope you enjoyed your baby shower. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT EVERYONE AT THE CROP KNEW, and NO ONE TOLD YOU????

OKAY< ladies, let's do this next year. IT was a lot of work, and I was a little nervouse at times, but when we all got together, it was WORTH IT.

I had a blast, and I hope that everyone else did too. I hope that you enjoy your goodie bags, your new albums, your prizes that you won, but mostly I hope you made new memories that you will treasure forever.

I can't wait to see the lo's you create with all the photos that you took. Remember that I ran out of film, and I need some copies of the photos of the whole group both at the last store, and in the room in front of the banner. Oh and some of me, Kathy, Susan, and Bihu that were taken at the very end of the night.

LADIES: My only regret is that it is over. Back to reality. BUT please, join us next year for a Louisiana style Island Get-Away.

Hello Ladies I made it back home with no more adventures. My DH is fixing me supper. I will be on later. Susan, Missy and Kathy, It was a super weekend and I had a blast.

I am home!!!!!!!!! After a ten hour drive, okay a few stops and yes I stopped at ANOTHER scrapbook store, I am finally home. I did just like I said as soon as I got home ran to the potty then turned the computer on and then went back to get Maddie out of the car. I had such a WONDERFUL time. It was so much fun even with mean mean ol' ALeta trying to make me go into early labor. I loved meeting everyone and thank you so much for the surprise baby shower, I am still teary from that one, I can't believe you guys can keep a secret! Just so you know I did do one page, okay a 6x6 but it counts. I'll post pics from BR later I need to go pick up Austin and some supper!

Okay, I only have one question.......HOW DID I wind up with the depends???? Someone sabatoged me after I was drugged!!! No fair!!

I heard from Pomberner, she made it home alright and had a BLAST!!

BTW - Sid took a picture of all of Melissa's and my stuff on the big gold luggage cart!! It didn't all fit!! THAT should be an interesting layout!! And we didn't have as much as some others! (uh humm...KATHY! )

I still don't know how she packed all that stuff and everyone else into that van! Missy came back to the room this morning and said..."good thing those kids are small or they wouldn't fit!"

HEy not all of it was mine! My brother hit the tackle shops in BR and spent almost dollar for dollar what I spent on supplies! Then we stopped at the Bass Pro shop in Katy and he bought more! You guys think I am bad.....I don't hold a candle to him!

Did I mebtion how much fun I had! I am leaving all my stuff in the SUV until tomorrow, I just can't unpack yet!

Well, we just got home-- just before 8 pm. We are soooo tired! We checked out a few things before we left BR. And we stopped at a Michael's on the way home! I really had a wonderful time and I enjoyed meeting everyone. All of ya'll were so great and talented and friendly and fun! And I loved the LSS's we don't have one around here like that! The shopping was great!

Midnight came to soon--I was just getting going! If we'd had a two day-thing I'd have so much more done!! Oh--and I'm really not that quiet all the time--a few more hours and I'd have been able to compete with some of the rest of you--non-quietwise. Ha!

By the way, I asked David and he said he was glad I let him work on his work stuff without fussing (b/c I hate it when he brings work home!). So he was fine--he just gets all serious-looking when he's thinking.

Just wanted everyone to see the Crop Crew

OK here goes my car met an SUV on Friday. Kathy, Maddie and Angie were with me luckily everyone was fine thank heavens for big cars with steel frames, and you can image how happy I was about that. I had not had an accident since I was 17, that is 35 years, so it was quite a shock. My car has both passenger side doors destroyed, there are pictures, and I am sure someone will post the pics at some point. The side view mirror was hanging by the wires and had to go, so I used my button shank remover to cut it loose. Angie and Taunja showed real bravery by riding to dinner with me later that day.

Other than that I had a ball. I guess now I need to change my user ID to crashinscrapper.

Nahhh, you need to stay as aletad. BUT you could change your sig line: I crashed at the BR CROP!!!!

and I wasn't so brave..I just had to slide across the front seat, was accosted by radio and cell phone recharger wires and then couldn't figure out why the darned door wouldn't open when we finally got to the restaurant! I let Taunja do the sliding on the way back as her tush is much smaller than mine!
