I will be mailing my Nov. & Dec. cards this weekend, My Nov and Dec look like they will be really busy for me.

I had fun creating the cards for this swap, Not sure if I wilL join in a swap for 2011. My reason is,,,I only received 13 cards for My Birthday and I sent out about 60 cards. I always sent out 2 to 3 cards to the Birthday ladies, I don't think I missed anyones birthday, if I did, I apologize. I know some ladies dropped out half way into the year ,But I still should have received more than 13 cards. I really apprecaited the cards I did get, they were Beautiful, crafty, creative, and the extra gifts were an added Bonus.

I guess what I 'm saying is,,,I did have fun, I think some Ladies joined and didn't follow through with this swap but it's a chance we take by joining. I want to wish everyone great Holidays. I will not be on here as much cause I will be super busy in the next 2 months.

I hear you about only receiving so many cards after you fullfilled your obligation to this swap. I am late with 2 Oct cards still but I have them going out.. Everyone enjoy your week-end..

I am thinking of having a min. amount of postings before you can join plus I have already started a flaker list. I would also get my friends flaker list too so that I could keep that to a min. I also was not impressed that once someone's Bday passed they did not complete their obligation.

I will not be participating next year either for several reasons. The main two are no show hostess and flakers. It is not fair to those of us that fulfill our obligation. It has become a challenge to keep the motivation and desire to particpate flowing because of this.

ValandTim ~ I will get your card out no later than Monday. So sorry for the delay...I have tried really hard to get all of the B-Day cards to the ladies prior to their B-Day but I have slipped the past couple of months with so many personal things going on in my world.

I hope you have a terrific birthday. I am sure it will be super because you now have your handsome bundle of joy to fill your day.

i would consider joining again, i have been doing this swap since i started here,even before the hostess we have now,its been alot of fun,and i have always gotten alot of cards in the previous years, even though i'm usually last on the list,bonnie

I won't be joining again next year but not because of flakers, just because I'm so busy with school and kids it's just really hard for me to keep up. That's why when I did get a bunch of cards done I mailed them out right away, even if they were a few months ahead. I'm sorry I had to do it that way, but if I wouldn't have, I'm sure I maybe would have 'flaked' it out or just put it off and then people would have went without from me. So if there is anyone out there that did not get one from me, I'd hope they would tell me because I don't want them to feel their birthday wasn't acknowledged. I do appreciate all the cards I received and I hope I didn't forget to thank anyone for their beautiful work. If so I would like to thank you now. I had fun working on the cards, even though I'm far from advanced in my work.

Hi ladies! Sorry I haven't been on here in forever, probably since August since I think that's the last month I sent a card! I am sending out Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec. all tomorrow! Happy Belated birthdays to everyone I missed. Again I am sorry. I didn't realize this baby was gonna be so time consuming! LOL. She's 7 months now and I'm finally getting around to making cards but still not scrapbooking. God is really teaching me that I was very selfish! This baby is needy! I love her so much though! Thanks for being patient. Again, I am sorry for being such a flake!

Hi Jenn I know what you mean about needy. My 6 month old daughter is the same way. Very much a momma's girl and doesnt like to be anywhere that she cant see me. She is even fighting the whole solid foods thing. I am supose to start a night job in 10 days and I am not sure how that is going to work. My poor DH and oldest DD are going to have their hands full.

I totally agree with you. My bday was in April I did the exact samething.. I got none & they didn't either...too bad for them...this is such a wonderful thing...especially if your down & out & when you recieve all those cards they just perk you right up......looking forward to the next one....if you sign up stick with it...its not that hard....

I know it made my May birthday. I was stressed that month as I had just given birth at the end of April. I know my cards have been late since then but I am trying to work around an infant that wants my attention all the time. Afternoons are my time if I am lucky and that doesnt happen all the time. I have a lot that needs to get done when she is having her nap and I never seem able to get caught up to my todo list LOL. Ah well hopefully by Christmas I might have more free time LOL.

JCI, I do have a suggestion for next year, if there is somewhere a person could post who they received cards from or even to send that list to the hostess, so we could all make sure our cards are getting to where they need to. This was my first year and it was great, from May to August I received cards, I believe 23(?) in total so I feel sad for Armygirl for getting so few. I had sent to everyone on the list until we got the "flaker" list from the hostess, then I only sent to the remaining, but my name hadn't shown up as sending to some people. A list I could check would help. Thanks again everyone, not sure if I will join again, thinking about school for next year.

Its one of those things I will be doing is marking off who sent cards. That way there just might be some acountablity I hope. Basically I will print of a list every month on who is sending then tick of the names as they are recived. A little more work but that way it can be kept track off.

I wanted to check in to thank Terri for my Card. But like I said,,, It is a chance we take by joining in these Swaps. I really enjoyed making all the cards I sent out,,I just hope that everyone liked them as much as I did.

Really I am not a flaker ...1 even sent cards to people who just sent me a message on here & not a card. I am getting my last 2 Oct cards out this week promise. Just with that fire we had & now dealing with insurance company & contractors & shopping for cabinets etc...& dh who whipped my feet right from under me...has really stressed me out....wish this year never happened...

Hi Ladies!!!!Hope this week was lovely & kind to you all.I signed up for next year, I did send all my cards out all year, as my birthday is in January & I was so blessed with all the cards I received & I sent to all on the list.I printed the list out when first received it & marked each name as I received them & also date I sent out each card for my own memory,so I would know when I sent them out.Pam my prayers are with you.

Yes please come join us for next year there are already some great women that have signed up and I KNOW them have swapped with them for 3 years so there is no worry that they will flake.
