Elizabeth, the easiest way to start the new VCW thread's OP is to either quote the previous thread's OP and remove the quote codes or go into edit on the previous thread, then copy and paste into the new OP. I did the quote thing. I also added the new update blog. Now to update my siggie.

But its only 28 days until I have to go back

I stayed up late (6 am) to finish an audio book. Got up at 9:30. Started redoing things and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning in my kitchen/dining room. Maybe it's sleep deprivation or too much caffeine but I'm noticing so many things that needs to be done! Must sleep more and drink less coffee.

I'm converting some flat sheets for new curtains in my dining room. These are sliding glass doors that I need to cover up.

Oh, no! I just opened up my ACM emailer in over a month and they've got DCWV papers 40% off!

I bought new curtains for the living room in Boston and wow ... I love them .... make all the difference ... I had old curtains that I bought just after Anika was born but since I have to wash everything so often to get rid of dust and pollen they get really worn and look old ...

I bought brown and metallic (of course) and now I just love my living room .... it looks romantic ...

the see-through ones are metallic with silver and gold threads crisscrossing through them ... look amazing in the daylight ....

Had to come back to my room for a ruler and sewing scissors. I'm working on the bottom hem of the curtain now.

one of these days I'm going to clean up my space and show you pics .... the only thing is that I have a huge storage system in my DH study and I use the kitchen to work in ....

But late this summer I'm going to get a huge area when the close my balcony and I get that as a room ..... its huge and I love the light .... that way I can use stuff that I cant right now because of the girls ... I cant even emboss ....

Okay, what I did was I browned it first on the stove...while it was browning, I concocted a mixture of water, Worcestershire (sp?) sauce, basil, cooking oil, and beef bouillion. Whisked it together, and then poured it over the roast. Covered the pan and put it in the oven at 325*. Roast it for an hour, then pull it out and add potatoes and maybe carrots (if DH wants them, kids and I don't like them), and put it back in for another hour. I am shooting for eating at 6pm our time (it's just after 4 now, I was kinda busy for a bit working on clearing the table and reorganizing stuff). Got bread sticks to go in the oven a half-hour before it's all done.

WoW Ria, my mom has only ever done an "all day" roast. Is this the first time you did it this way, or is this the way you always do it? I bet its yummy.

thanks ... its the only place that we hardly use in the house ... MY DH has a study that he uses all the time ... and the girls have two rooms ... the only other room that I hardly use is my bedroom ... I go in there dead tired and as soon as I wake up I go downstairs ... the kitchen is always a mess since I work in it and the girls use it to play and do arts and crafts in ....

This is the way I always do it. I vary it a little, in that sometimes I'll make the whole thing in one big pot on the stove and other times I'll roast it in the oven. Tonight I'm roasting it in the oven. Got a small cake in the toaster oven. Craving cake for some reason, don't know.

Okay, well I talked dh into bringing home pizzas tonight because all of my kids are still here. I need to go up and start on my to do list. I need to get my house cleaned!

All of a sudden I soooo cannot wait until tomorrow night. even if dh is being a butthead, at least I will be warm and my cell phone will not be ringing!!

Okay, I could have sworn I printed new blank emergency medical auths to fill out, now I can't find them. hmmm...I guess we'll just have to go woth the old ones and I'll update them again.
