'Fess Up - what's the longest you spent on 1 LO?

I am currently working on a LO that overall has taken me about a week because I keep changing the design. What's the longest time you have spent on one layout? Surely I'm not the only one out there who can't make up her mind !

I take forever too. DH just made a comment last week. He said something like - it took you 2 1/2 hrs. to do that. I'm like - shut the heck up, but not as nicely.

I'm thinking it is because I'm not as experienced. I just hope that changes in the future. Ladies - tell me it will get easier.

No your definitly not the only one, sometimes I can whip out a layout in 20 minutes and other sit on my table for days while I try to get it just right.

The longest I've spent on a LO is about 3 weeks. Mind you, I only had an hour or so at a time to work on it, and not even everyday.

On average, I'd say it takes me at least 2 hours to finish a LO. Some people may consider that a long time, but I'm fine with it. I take my time deciding how I want to lay things out, what items I want to use, etc. And I'm a perfectionist, so I tend to take my time making sure all my cuts are straight and everything is centered the way I want it to be.

The only way to speed up the process for me to is pre-plan the layout before I actually work on it. I do this for crops, so that I can get more done. I choose my photo(s), draw a sketch of the overall layout, choose my papers, and select the embellishments. Then it only takes me about a half hour to actually do the layout.

A LO usually takes me anywhere between 1-2 hours depending if I have any great ideas.

It takes me forever to do one layout! Sometimes I can do one in 40 mins but that is sooooo rare! I still have one that I started in August of 2004 that I still am having problems with Over all though it usually takes me about 4 hours because I want everything to be just right!

Once I finally have an idea, it usually only takes me about 45 minutes - 1 hour to actually do it. It's figuring out what I want to do that takes the longest.

My first one I wanted to submit to a mag I took 12 hours straight to complete. It isn't even as nice now as I once thought it was.. oh well... I had fun!

im terrible with time too. i have lo's i started months ago... they got putaway and i look at them everyonece in a while. for a regular one that doesnt get put away thou... i think the longest i had one out was 3 weeks... inabook (myscrappal) is always making fun of me... i keep redoing things and changing stuff.

If I don't include the time it takes me to decide what to do, the actual LO takes me anywhere from an hour to 2 hours. that includes the time it takes to do things over once I change my mind, which I do about a bazillion times.

I think one of mine in the contest took me 2 days to complete. Obviously I didn't every hour on it, but it did take me 2

About 2 weeks. I put my LO parts in one of those craft keepers because most times I start to work on them I am 15 mins into it something comes up. No wonder I am so far behind...lol.

Oh my, I can totally relate to you guys. It sometimes takes me a good week to do one. I can't really sit there for hours doing one and I am so terribly indecisive on how I want a LO to look that I end up changing my mind over and over and walk away from it for awhile and then come back to it the next day. I wish I could do them in an hour! I have so many pictures to scrap too. Oh well, it is fun though!

I usually scrap all the way through until my back aches and I can't see straight. I've spend 6 hours on a LO before. Typically I take 2 hours.

I think I had a LO sitting on top of my entertainment center for a couple months b/c I couldn't make up my mind what to do with it LOL. That's probably my record.

My average is about 2 hours per layout. And it takes me as long or longer to do a one-page layout as to do a 2-page layout. isn't that weird??

The longest has been about 4 weeks. Just kept changing things, decided on something and then later found something else that looked better and then added other things and then got rid of that stuff and started over.

Sometimes 20 minutes, average of 2 hours, but occasionally one sits around for weeks until I get it just right. And then months later I've been known to find an embellishment that "just fit" a lo I wasn't completely satisfied with.

Although there have been times that Iwhipped out a page in about 30 minutes, it is a rarity. I didn't realize that there are scrappers that finish their lo as quick as stated-WOW. I take an average of 2-3 hours, but have spent days working on a lo, too. It just depends how the creative juices are flowing, and how much activity is going on around the house.

My problem is that I create multiple lo's with everything, except the computer generated journaling. I am so behind with doing this. I really need to get more organized about this. When I am in the creating layout mode, I don't want to then go into the computer mode. It is ridiculous considering how much I am on the computer typing anyway. Any suggestions on ways of organizing my journaling?

2 years. I set it aside 3/4 done and haven't finished it!

2 hours on a lo would bespeeding for me. usually, i'll spend about 5 - 6 hours on a lo.

I had a layout on my table for four months. I just couldn't get the inspiration to finish it. I had the papers picked out and the basic layout design done, but I couldn't figure out how I wanted to embellish it. Now I spend about 1-4 hours on a layout.

Right now I am working on one that now is in 10 days. It is a scrap pack challenge. I know what I want to do but am having problems getting it on paper

I had a contest entry take a couple weeks once. But it was little bits of time here and there. And heck it paid off! LOL. Most layouts take me 4-6 hours...LOL. But that is from start(gathering ideas) to finish. I often break it up over two days. Rarely can I just whip something out.

I did just did two LO's for a CI assignment and each took about 1.5hrs BUT I was only aloud to use cardstock and a sticker sheet. Oh I added ribbon and some inking but that was all. I found this a bit tricky to be honest! LOL.

My longest probably took a few days. Thats from gathering ideas, changing my mind and then all the cutting on it. I traced letters onto the cardstock and cut them out by hand and let me tell you, it was a freakin pain! But it was about my Dad so it was totally worth it.

It usually takes me an hour and a half or more to do one. Sometimes I can whip 'em out, but they dont really turn out that good. Thats when I know its time to take a break.

The norm for me is a few hours. But I did a lo recently that took me six hours!!!
