I thought of something else...

I understand why you want ED to come to your house in order to get reacclimated with E, but unless E is in physical danger (and you can prove it), ED should be able to take his son for a visit. He can and already has twisted that to make YOU look bad-not him. I don't know about your state, but in mine: If the parents weren't married and there are no court set visitation papers, then either parent has the RIGHT to take child with them at ANY given time. Which means that if ED wants to come at 4am and take E with him for a "visit", there is nothing you (or the police) can do about it. My cousin went thru this exactly. That was what prompted them to go to court.

I hope you don't think I'm being unsympathetic or mean. I just want you to be aware of this (ED may never do that or know about the little fact). I want to to be able to protect yourself and that baby. Again, I think you need to have a calendar or somesort of signed agreement for visits.

I got the dishes done...Yay!!

Now for the dusting...esp the ceiling fans. Boy do they get dirty!!! I forget about them untill they are off...hehe

I've managed to whittle down the pile of mess on my tables. I've got 2/3rds of the application essay questions finished. My bills are paid and the rest of the house has no additional mess added to it. I've contacted customers about my order date and workshops. And my motivation has now taken a lunch break.

We awoke this morning to some wild thunderstorms. About the time we left the house, heavy rain was pounding our area. I drove Josh & Brat both to their respective doors so they would not have to get wet. As we approach the elementary school, traffic was backed up 2 blocks, pretty much at a standstill. I parked in my usual parking lot, a block over from the school. The rain was so heavy you could barely see a few feet in front of you. Savannah, Noah & Jack all had on their raincoats. I got out my trusty unbrella and exited the car. About 3 feet from the car, a loud crashing thunder boom sent both of my kids hurling back towards the car. They are terrified of storms and did not like being out in it. I held Noah tightly by the hand. Savannah has been trying independence, mainly not holding my hand as much. This morning, she was quite content to walk nearly underneath me, gripping my hand as tightly as possible. Savannah in one hand, Noah in the other, yep, my umbrella was carried neatly folded up under my arm for the block and a half to Savannah's door.

For the return walk, I was quite pleased to pull my dry umbrella to shield my drenched self from getting any wetter, if that was possible. As Noah and I stood at the crosswalk to head back to our car, a very rude man swerved his car straight into the puddle so that it splashed up and drenched us thoroughly with muddy water. Luckily Noah was behind me, so I shielded him from most of the nasty water. Not sure why, but I continued to proudly march my nasty wet self under my umbrella, just because I had it with me.

Oh, yeah, I've dieted for a week and gained 3 lbs.

Made breakfast for me and hubby, did three pages for the Christmas album I'm donating to the women's holiday Faire (pre-made X-mas album).... hopefully it will sell.

Great idea, Kim! Christmas stuff always brings in good money.

Is this supposed to be a bad day and nobody told me? I ran to take a quick shower and got shampoo in my eye. Coming back in here, I stubbed my toe on the playhouse. Now I just spilled my drink on the desk.

Why didn't I get the memo about today being bad?

Ethan finally crashed. He's about 3 or 4 hours late for his nap. Usually he's close to waking up by this time. Maybe now I can finish the dusting...is it lunchtime already?!?!?!

Suzie, ouch.... it's Monday though. I'm on my way to the gym. See ya'll later.

I am here while I eat my late breakfast....chicken fried chicken(I know...I know..terrible for me), broccoli, and redskinned mashed potatoes.

It was rather amusing when I worked for The Salvation Army. They would repair Bibles to give away, but would never throw them out. In the storage area, they had floor to ceiling boxes of Bibles that people had donated. When we go out on disaster, we take cases with us. Most people suffering hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, etc.. were interested in food, but not necessarily in the Good Book.

And I just burnt my hand on my bowl of oatmeal.

It's so windy around here that every once in awhile a gust blows stuff against the building and it sounds like there's someone else here with me. A little freaky and I can't tell you how many times I've done room checks in the past hour!

My goodness, NSBR has been a snore lately

There is an ad for a photographer in the Oklahoma City phonebook. In big bold letters it says "WE SHOOT PEOPLE" in smaller letters..."and weddings, seniors, events, babies..." My brother sent it to Jay Leno.

Man, I keep going off on random tangents. I suppose I will be the resident non sequitur for the day.

I prefer to focus on landscapes, primarily those set in the New England area. I try to capture the essence of New England life while focusing on the ever-changing beauty of nature. Most of my work is best seen in black and white, to keep the focus on nature's beauty, rather than the distracting collage of colors. I like to emulate the work of (insert famous picture person) while allowing my own creative muse free reign.

I might have to risk damnation and just toss it...I've had my fair share of hurricanes, and I wasn't too interested in the Word myself...water, ice, and MRE's were more important at the time...the healing comes later.
