I am so mad at my mother-in-law. Ugh. I told you all that my brother-in-law had decided to move back with his mom. Well next week school officially starts up here and when we went to sign him out they told us until she enrolls him in school down there we couldn't withdraw him. Now here it is a week to go and she still has not enrolled him anywhere. Now knowing my husband's mom like we do we do have a plan of action just in case she doesn't enroll him but we really didn't want to go that route if we didn't have too but now it's looking like we're going to because we don't want to be in any kind of trouble since he's still registered with us at this school. She's so frustrating.

Before he moved in with us she homed schooled him and did all the review work for him. He didn't start reading till he was 9. My husband moved in with his grandmother at the age of 12, his brother moved in with us when he turned 12. We think it was her decision to keep him by manipulating him. She's been making comments since May when we had our son that we had our own kids to worry about and that we should be alone with them. Now there were some problems with my bil but he's 16 you expect it. She's really good at manipulating her sons me not so much. Luckily my husband doesn't fall for it but the 16 year old does. She'll probably put him in home school (which I have nothing against except when it comes to this woman) then he'll probably drop out as soon as he turns 17. It's a sad situation and all we can do is pray that he gets his education.

ok, I just sent a msg that will very likely speed up my firing.

Boss wanted me to do his job on sth. I told him since I'm leaving, there's no point for me to do that... and there will be no continuity and this is a task that needs follow-thru. He cc'ed a bunch of people, so I kept them on copy. Including a higher up figure who will now understand what is going on if I get fired.

fingers are covered in glue, but four titles are on pages!

Idol's season last year wasn't very good. I watch the two dance shows. I always wanted to be a dancer but, sadly it never came to be.

Ice Road Truckers is the only other one that I got caught up in. I think it's because I didn't believe that someone would actually do that!!!!

I have never seen any of the others.

The leaves won't change here until late September or October. We'll even have a heat wave in October or November here. I'm talking 80's at least for the heat wave.

I'm attempting a sheet of titles. Wish me luck! I'm double cutting everything because it's Bazzil Bling! and on the last sheet I wasted it only cut most of the way through, even though the test cut was perfect.

Abby has yanked out another tooth. She's now missing her two upper front teeth and one of her lower.

John also just told me that he needs to be to work for 4:30 rather than leaving the house around 4:30. ick. ick. ew.

Monica, I finally had my oatbran with flax seeds. Forgot how much I enjoyed flax seeds.

Told DH not to get me anything this year since I just paid for his lens.. he'll pay me back next month... wonder if I'll get a cake.

I may bake some cupcakes for DD.. she's celebrating her bday in school either this Fri or next Mon. I want to bake her an Ariel cake on Sun, which is her real bday. She had her party last Sat 'cos the wave pool does parties on certain days of the month. I think I'm overcompensating for me never getting a real cake for my bday AFTER I got married. Some years, I don't get anything. Some years I do. (Before getting married, my parents, esp my mom MADE SURE I get a cake every single year! I miss them so much!)

I"m a little depressed 'cos Fri is my bday, and I was talking to DH about my schedule.. I have to work for 3 hrs (from home) and will have to pick up DD to go to her gym class. Wasn't sure if I should do that 'cos she hurt her ankle again a few weeks ago. So I asked if DH can pick her up from school (30 min away from home), drop her off at the gym, and I'll pick her up instead. Reason being DS takes nap in the afternoon and I don't want to wake him up to pick her up 'cos he'll be in a bad mood the rest of the day, and that's the last thing I need. But he says: "I'm not sure". Not "honey, it's your bday, if I can't pick her up, then don't go" but "i don't know if I have a mtg or not". Not much time for dinner because DD goes to AWANA at church Fri nites. I told the director I'll help out, but maybe starting from next Fri nite... I'll see. So no time for me to celebrate at all.

Maybe I'll bake a cake for me. The year DS was born, I got nothing for my bday. Not even a cake. And my MIL was here helping out, so it's not like he didn't have time to run to Frys across the street and get a cake. His family doesn't celebrate squat (MIL never sends anything to the kids on their bday... not even a card). I always have to buy presents and pretend they were sent by grandma.

Not that she doesn't love them. But her way of expressing it is very subtle (too subtle if you ask me). And she would not make a trip to see them 'cos she thinks it's too expensive. I always tell her we'll pay for it. But she values $$ more than other things.. and she feels bad even if it's our $$. But I told her, the kids don't have many years when you can enjoy them before they grow up.

But then again, this is the lady, when I came home from attending my dad's funeral (I went to visit him when he was very sick, stayed there the whole week until he passed away), said "Hi" from kneeling down in front of the fridge, searching for a veggie to cook. She was here to take care of DD for us (she was 5 months at that time).. she's nice and everything. BUt dont' expect a hug from her or an acknowledgement of any sort even if your dad just died.

Sorry for the vent. I think I need retail therapy AGAIN!

Sorry I'm in a bad mood also because of my boss. I may or may not lose my job.. but he's definitely trying to manipulate the situation to get me work more hours.

He's not a bad guy, just a great guy stuck in the wrong managerial job. He needs me because he doesnt' know my products, production and etc... he's great at his former job. But he's been promoted in something he's not familiar with. Every email he sent to ask me do stuff, I had to contradict his proposals... i don't know how long you can survive, if you're saying NO to every single email he sends out.

But I've got other things on my mind. I'm having a mammogram this Thurs... hopefully it's sth not very serious.. Again thanks for letting me vent!

I had to have a repeat mamogram this year. Very scary. They finally decided it was a cyst they were seeing. I had the first one on the day before my birthday and they called me at 8:00 ON my birthday to tell me they saw something suspicious. That just added to my wonderful birthday.
