Oh, yeah, Jory was diagnosed at age 6 with ADHD, ODD, and a slew of other things. Among them an anxiety disorder and depression. I think the depression is hereditary, because I have it. (DH is bipolar.)

No, Abby didn't go to the salon. I thought the price ($50) was a bit steep for a 7 year old's hairdo. I did figure out how to do it, so if she's interested in the hairdo for our next trip to Disney, I can recreate it.

7-9 is the best time for a first trip. They're old enough to appreciate it, not be scared by the characters, are usually big enough to ride all the rides and can walk around all day without having to be carried. Plus they can deal with all the attention a lot better.

I don't ride most of the rides, either, but the price of admission is worth it to me to watch my kid have a blast and I usually get about 10 layouts out of each amusement park trip.

Shoot, mine got just a tad overdone. I started to take it out 5 minutes ago, but it looked a tad underdone. Oh, well. Pictures will be coming...

Good point. But Disney is an exception. I would more than likely ride a few rides at Disney. And I know for a fact I could get hundreds of pictures of the kids enjoying themselves and posing with the characters. But World's of Fun is mostly roller coasters and a few water rides. There are some stage shows and concerts, and I do enjoy those. (World's of Fun is where I first saw Tanya Tucker and Ricky van Shelton.) I tell Jeremy I much prefer my stomach to be inside my body, thank you very much. You can find me shopping or at one of the various stage shows/concerts.

I'm not even talking about Disney. There's a local amusement park down the highway called Canobie Lake Park. We go 2-3 times a year. I ride the log ride (very small version of Splash Mountain) and sometimes the Ferris Wheel. Everything else Abby does with either her Dad, Nana or by herself, depending on who's in the group. If we go to Six Flags this summer with her Nana, I probably won't ride much of anything.

OK ladies...I can't make anything here in my GORGEOUS Bed and Breakfast place, but there are snacks provided for us continuously throughout the day. SO...I'm providing: lemon poppyseed cake, blueberry crumb something or other, some kind of chocolate death thingy, puppy chow, chips and salsa, chocolate chip cookies, and as much diet dew as my body will allow. They keep the desserts coming. I am so full I'm having trouble breathing.

Yeah, I know. We used online resources to research our trip and then ordered a customized trip online at Disney's website. Park admission is an add on, because not everyone goes to the park every day that they're there, so you have the option to purchase as many (or few) days as you want to. The more days you buy, the more you save because the price per day goes down. If I had some extra money, I would probably book a week in one of the resorts and not go to the parks at all one trip, unless I wanted to eat at specific restaurants in the park. John and I are talking about a long weekend at Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island (their big shopping area/entertainment complax) sometime soon and not even go to a park.

I'm back again, but feeling a little yucky. I hope I'm not coming down with something.

I also believe we had a Melissa, too, who joined us sometime recently who has not been here. I was glad to see Kahlan check in also.

I haven't been on late at nite because DD is now using the computer to chat with her friends since she lost use of her aunt's phone because of that "naked pee pee" pic someone sent her. And now she won't use the house phone either since my DB is now grilling everyone who calls her to find out it they sent or know who sent the pic. I think he just needs to get over it. Pray for me that I find a full time teaching job. I'm really afraid that my DD will decide she can't take it here and want to go live with her dad.

DH's Pepperoni Pizza

Bling Princess Ria's Homemade Pizza Recipe

3 cups of bread flour
1 teaspoon of salt (I usually use just a little less)
2 teaspoons of yeast
Healthy sprinkling of oregano
2 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, or EVOO, plus extra to coat a second bowl
1 1/4 cup of warm water
*I have been doubling this recipe lately to make thicker-crusted pizzas.*

Toppings:
1 can of Contadina pizza sauce (the BEST, IMO, but any sauce will work)
1 package of mozzarella or pizza blend shredded cheese
pepperoni or whatever meat you like
mushrooms, black olives, or whichever veggies you like

*Margherita pizza toppings: one Roma tomato, either thinly sliced or chopped; basil; EVOO. After parbaking crust, top with cheese, sliced or chopped Roma tomato, and sprinkle a bit more cheese over tomato. Sprinkle basil over top of pizza, and then drizzle with about 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of EVOO, then bake.*

Coat a metal mixing bowl with EVOO. In a secon bowl, blend together dry ingredients, then add the EVOO. Add the water. Stir until you get a doughy ball, then ditch the spoon and start kneading by hand in the bowl. Once you have the dough into a smooth bowl, transfer it to the EVOO-coated bowl and cover tightly with Saran Wrap (or other plastic wrap). Let rise for 2 hours on the counter or up to 8 hours in the fridge.

After the 2 hours, take the dough out of the bowl and knead it on the counter a dozen or so times. Then cover it with a towel and let it sit for another 20 minutes for the final rise.

After the 20 minutes, preheat the oven to 450*knead some more and either shape it into one large pizza or several personal pizzas. (I make several personal pizzas.) Parbake the crust for 10 minutes, then pull out of the oven. Top with sauce, cheese, meat, and veggies. Sprinkle with oregano, and bake for another 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit for at least 5 minutes before cutting.

Ria love your Pizzas ... I'm going to make some as soon as I get the pizza pan that I order and will pick up in Boston ...

Abby can't wait for Canobie to open. We always go on Father's Day, because John gets in for free and gets a free lunch. His company also holds their picnic at Canobie so we get to all go for free. I'm thinking of a weekend at Storyland and Santa's Village this summer, but I'm not so sure after spending all the money we did at Disney.

Not until tomorrow. After dd gets back. I'm not sure of the exact time. We're planning on taking the boys to church in the morning, then whatever. Definitely feeding them and ourselves either out or at home. Lots of leftovers at home. There's even some sausage balls. Those normally don't get cooled off well before being all gone. I made some miso soup that I'll have for breakfast tomorrow.

After I hand these wonderful, energetic boys back, I'll crash for a bit then I'm here!!! Still need to scan and stitch several pages together to upload.

I've been watching BBC America alot this week, well, Thursday and Friday.

Between "You are what you eat" and "How clean is your house" I've been taking extra care in what I'm eating and I've even cleaned under my frig!!! I really should order that channel from our Dish service.

We had an awesome day at the homeschool conference. Over 1000 people in attendance last night and today. It was great fun and went smoothly.
I'm ready to kick back now! I'm too tired to scrap but I might sort some pictures. I've been working on my 2002 photos and moving them to a Power Sort box.
I am SO glad we only print what we need now. What a change!

I love to go to Disney Land. I love California. I would like to take DD and maybe one friend of hers. She was 5 1/2 when we took her to DL the first time. We had such a blast. She also loved Sea World. We took her the first time when she was 2 1/2 and then again when we went to DL. I'd love to go to all the new parts they added to DL since we were there last.

I bought and have read all of the new Scrapbook Etc. and was really pleased with it. I started Memory Makers last nite and only got through a bit so I am unsure if I will be pleased by it. I also got Creating Keepsakes and have heard it is mostly ads, but I do want to know about new things so just this one time I won't get upset if it is.

Girls, I'm checking out. Feeling really really yucky! I think bedtime is coming real soon. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.
