I had a friend who had a cat like that.. she brings in birds every now and then to show off! My friend felt so bad for the birds.. she tried to feed her cat all the time.. but it's in the cat's nature.

I like my DH horribly dressed and dressed like an engineer. Keeps him from being attractive to other ladies! Actually I don't worry too much about that. All his colleagues are male, and the few who are not are either in their 60s and have vowed never ever to date/marry a geek.

We met at work 15 yrs ago... at that time, I realized AFTER we started dating that the secretary took an interest in him. I was wondering for a while why she was ultra-mean to me. But she was so mean to everyone else that I didn't think much about that. DH and I can sail thru live being total idiots. It can drive some people crazy...

Yes, to the onions! I think I'll buy a couple or four for the hash. Add just enough potatoes to take out the tartness, I hope. Think I should buy canned potatoes for this?

I'll buy frozen broccoli, chopped up or chop up at home. Mix with cream of something soup, cheddar, broccoli and left over rice. Should eggs go in there, too? Anything else?

I like the tartness of the hash. But many people don't. Plus it needs to be doctored up enough to not be the same thing 3 days this week at church.

I'll also be serving the left over brined chicken from 4 weeks ago. I have over a half gallon of that in my freezer. I should do something similar to the pork. This way the few people in our church that don't eat pork will have an alternative.

I agree. I have seen many fabulous LOs here that I just love. And then there are those that look just like the 100 other ones, with almost the same construction, same paper, and people raved about them. I've seen very original and creative LOs that I put into my favourites, and notice very few people commenting or voting for them. I believe I have very different taste than most of the voters here ...

Of course, my LOs are a different story. Sometimes what you want to do and what the LO ends up to be are two very different things. There is yet another Chinese saying (3000 yrs of coming up with sayings): "eyes high, hand low". I'm like that... I aspire my LOs to be something a lot more magnificent than what they end up to be. But I still consider myself a beginner and I am freely experimenting and learning different techniques.

I've joined simple layout challenges and wondered if we were all using the same definition for "simple." Same for multi-picture layout challenges. How did 2 photos become multiple? I can get more on my 8.5x11 than most can on their 12x12's. So even over something as "simple" as this I see things differently.

I also think that there are many "paper artists" here at sb.com . Then there's me, just a scrapper.

The lost bag incident reminded me of a manager I traveled with. Anyway, long story short, we all arrived at Shanghai and our bags were supposed to be there. Instead, they followed the plane and made a trip to Beijing. My manager laughed: "Oh, my bags will get more frequent miles than me. Next time, I'll be in coach and it'll be flying First Class." His sense of humour impressed me so much! He is from the US!

What some people will do to get their posts counts up.

I have to wait until tomorrow to pick up my pictures. I picked them up at the mall today and they were bad looking because no one turned on the auto correct or even looked at them. I called my friend's store and found out that her people did the same thing. I can kinda understand the mall messing up, but Jamie's store has already reprinted orders for me because of this so I thought that would've been a lesson they've already learned.

Matt received a packet of letters from one of his classes today. I enjoyed reading them. One thanked him for helping to "white up their music". I'm sure they meant write, but it was incredibly funny considering. Another girl thanked the "nice Mr Huitt for helping the nice students with their nice program. It was so nice of him." Get that child a thesaurus! I thought it was 'nice' of the teacher to have the students write the nice notes.

Today at work, the freezer door slammed my hand against the jam. Wemt to the work doc, broken thumb, by the joint where it joins the hand. Supposed to see a hand surgeon later this week, just in case. Hand is in a splint/brace thing, making it hard to type.

Tomorrow, the new PCP, Wednesday the gyn..its doc week for me.
