OMG! I just came back from Joanne's and what a sale!!! I am just so excited. (Actually went to the mall to shop for grandaughters birthday).

Between clearance and the sale, I am a very happy scrapper. I've been looking at the Crop In Style Craf-T-Caddy for awhile now (40.00). Today, it was red stickered clearance for 14.97. I couldn't believe it...The DCWV Once Upon A Time Stack, 12x12 was 50 % off at 9.99! I also got a hand punch, 3 sakura gel pens, 4 packages of embellisments, a sizzix embossing folder, 2 ribbons and to top it off an Ek Success 13x13 glass cutting mat including bonus templates with my 40% off coupon. All for $54 and change Oh, did I mention that I was excited?

Now between CKC Manchester on Friday and Joanne's today if I would just stay home I'd be able to scrap! I should have some layouts to download for next weekend as I managed to print some pictures.

Sorry. I probably didn't even know about these bears back then. It was all those $760 and $400 two pagers by Meggiebearscraps on evilbay that got me interested in learning to do them.

Silhouette74, that is a wonderful mother-in-law/grandmother to take in your kiddos for the night. As to the paper, I was wondering where you got the paper for the tear bears. Iâ€™m not too thrilled with my homemade paper. Iâ€™ll play with my â€œrecipeâ€ some more but am still looking at where other people got theirs.

we were paying our other sitter $50/week for basically part-time care...around here, the daycare centers and individual in-home sitters charge at LEAST $150/week for part time care for two kids...ridiculous, no? one center i called charged $236/week for two kids!!! hubby about fell out of his chair!!!...

we all work opposite shifts here, and i usually go in at lunchtime...hubby is usually home anywhere from 2 to 6 in the evening...during the school year, jory would be getting off the bus at 4:15; lizzie off the bus at 12:20...

now it's a waiting game while she decides...i certainly hope she decides to take them...it would make life SO much easier to have the kids' bus stops permanently our house...i wouldn't have to get up and run them to the bus stop around the corner, life would be easier on EVERYBODY...

thats great news ... hopefully everything will work out ...

What's Shavoat and Shavot?

tha's the same thing.... :-P

it's a jewish holiday that takes palce on the 6'th of "Sivan" - one of the months of the jewish calander.
it celbreats when the girls of israel would go out to the fields and dance. it's when you pick you'r first crops and take them to the tample.

now a days- Shavoaot is a holiday in which you eat dairy foods and have lots of grennery around the house. (all this because it's allso when the israel reacived the ten commenments)

of course there's more- but the most important thing is - that is my heberw birthday!!! :-)

Like at the end of the book of Judges where the Benjamites who were left after the battle stole their wives? I've been trying to learn the "required" feasts in the Bible. Still got a long way to go with honoring the Sabbath. But we've been doing Seder for years now. I feel if God commanded us to feast and throw a "party" who am I to argue? Seriously, I love everything that I've learned so far and want to use the celebrations as God intended, to teach us and our children.

But we had fun and I took some great pics

I think the technique to get wax off of clothing is to use those brown grocery shopping bags cut to manageable size, place the bag over the waxed area and iron with the highest setting the cloth with no steam. The wax should transfer to the paper. Keep placing fresh paper over waxed area until wax is all gone.

well, i'm not going to get any scrapping done today...i just got through sorting all the brads and snaps i bought on sale at "mike's"....and finding an alternate storage situation for the stamps i got as an NSBD prize...(the bead box i bought is too small)...

i also bought some chipboard letters, the first ones i've ever had to alter my own self...it should be an adventure altering them...LOL...AND they had little crayola model magic "activity sets" for $1, so i picked up two to put back for a rainy day for the kids to do...they're like their momma and love it when we have arts-and-crafts time...whether we be coloring, scrapping, or playing with model magic, they LOVE it...

i do hope to get some LOs posted that i did friday, i got the entire book for jory's teacher almost complete...it still needs a few embellies here and there, but it's basically done!

My dd will be 23 in July. People often mistake me as my grandsons' mother when we're out. But I've been mistaken as being my dd's sister, so I don't feel too old. This will probably change now that I'm no longer coloring my hair.

I haven't got much done this weekend, just the finishing touches on some of the LOs from our trip to Santa Fe and my nephew's book.I spent last nite stealing pictures online of the places in SF that we didn't get pictures of. I usually get a pack of postcards from any place we visit since I never can be sure how our pics will turn out but I forgot to this time. I may head over to Joann's to see if ours has anything good (usually not much) but I feel guilty since I didn't feel up to going to church this a.m.

Ever fear emptying your sb waste basket? I have a rather large one and only non-food stuff is allowed in it. But I always worry that I've mistakenly put something it that I didn't meant to, like a photo, embellie, etc.

Hello Ladies! Not sure if I've popped in yet today. So many posts here!! I broke my Scrap Fast But in my defense I was dying to get out of the house AND i got a phone call from my BF in Boot Camp this morning so I felt like I needed something (especially aftering crying on the phone from missing him).

Also in my defense I only bought stuff that was $1 AND I ran into a sb.com friend :O I got about $20 worth of stuff from Michael's, Joann's, and the dollar store. Cute Rubons, stamps, tags and misc stuff. The Dollar store had SUPER cute wedding rub-ons so I bought them b/c they had love stuff on them & I would use though for my BF's LOs. I also bought stamps from Michael's that i knew would get extensive uses out of them. Then at Joann's I got tags that had 88 tags in each package that were only $1 each I bought 3 differen packages. Well worth breaking my scrap fast in my opinion b/c I got 2 LOs (1 semi finished) done, am in a good mood AND everythign was a good deal
