Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great week so far.

Hello, all! (Don't even ask why I am up at this ridiculous hour.)

Just found this thread and was so excited. I got married at 25 but was a widow at 26. I am now in a very serious relationship and my significant other has two young boys but I don't see them much and he is a slacker when it comes to taking pictures. Hopefully one day we will have our own children but until then, Jason and my two adorable puppies are my main scrapping subjects. Its nice to know that I am not the only one.

i too decided to explore this great site a little more and found this place, single and no kids, slideshell i am also glad i'm not the only one, i was really starting to think scrapping is only for when u have kids.

Good for you sweetscrappin! I was just happy to get a couple of two page spreads mostly done. I still need to find some nice bright and not too formal graduation accents... yeah good luck finding those in October huh? lol

Obviously, I've been suffering from a wee bit of scrappin' block. That... and too little time...

My manager farmed me out again... oh that is the Iowa way (or so I've been told) of referring to the transferring of a worker from their regular department to another one for a short period - normally a day or two. Wouldn't be so bad but I always get stuck with the longest shift and the most difficult work. You know the stuff that the regular department workers need to get away from too before they fall apart from the stress. Apparently, they think that I have nothing better to do in my off time... but everything is better in my off time.

I just finished an entire graduation album and I actually found some really cute embellishments at wal-mart. The LSS was a bust but if you have a recollections near you they had some cute things as well but you're right, October is definitely not the time to be looking for graduation hoopla.

I am not allowed by family... wealthy family... to enter the "evil empire" otherwise known as wal-mart to most normal people. (We are not to even utter the name in front certain people - no kidding.) And no, unfortunately, the other place does not exist here... but if I should find something eventually. Thanks anyway.

Welcome slideshell and teqz. You'll love the gals here. How is everyones week going? Not too bad here. I am managing. My BF is on vacay this week and apparently very lonely. He woke me up twice today for no good reason. I am not getting enough sleep. I keep getting woken up by neighborhood choildren, dogs and my own BF. Honey do you want to do something today? Can we go here can we go there? UGH!!!! I wish he was back to work this week seriouly hes driving me nuts!!!

I wish that my BF would ever take a vacation. He is in Wisconsin at the moment. He has been there a month already and this should continue until the middle of December. So I get up at 430 every Monday morning to take him to the airport and I head back to the airport at midnight on Thursday nights. And he has his boys every other weekend. It hasn't been a whole lot of fun.

What does your BF do? We were supposed to be in Canda right now but I am broke and the couple we were going with split up soooo....... I decided not to take this week off and save my days for Thanksgiving instead but he didn't have that option. Plus I am working third trying to prove I can be a mechanic (which isn't going very well) so he's bored all the time.

he's a business consultant. he does SAP implementation. not really sure but that is what he tells me. i just wish he could do it closer to home. before wisconsin it was cleveland for month after month after month. there were also stints in connecticut, massachusetts, and california. with random little trips thrown in here and there. i have been nagging him forever about when we are going to take our next cruise and i keep getting the same answer about not knowing when he is going to be able to take any time off.

Yikes. I'm sorry to hear that. Mine is always bugging me to go somewhere. I just never have any money.

well my husban is back from his trip. he didn't feel to good yesterday that what he told me. i bet he dosen't feel good today because he took a shot last night

SOrry to hear that Danielle. hose shots sound more horrendous than the illness. I hope he comes out of it OK My thoughts are with you.

I just thought I'd say "hi", and thanks for letting another "sans kids" scrapper know she's not alone. I'm (mumble mumble, 39, mumble mumble) and I've been married for 9 years to my prince charming, but no kids by choice. (Actually, it's more like "fate", can't quite explain it, but I've just known for some time that I'm not supposed to have kids - weird, huh?)

I'm quite happy to scrap my cats, other family members, and our Disney trips. (Yeah, we go to Walt Disney World every year and we don't have kids. Just one of my many bizarre eccentricities.)

You know, I don't have kids and I will always be a Disney fan. We live about 20 minutes from Disneyland, yippie! I currently don't have an annual pass, it expired last month. But...might get another pass in December, since I love going at Christmas time. I've been to Disney World twice. I haven't been since Animal Kingdom was built. I want to take dh there since he hasn't been.
Anyways, you will love this gals! We are so nice!

LOL, yes we are!!! Oh sorry. Welcome Kitty. I go to amusement parks without kids just because i am such a big kid at heart. So don't feel bad it's not an eccentricity more like a cute quirk!!!

Love your avatar (I'm not sure of the spelling). Is that one of your cats? I have one and although I have taken many photos of her, have never actually scrapped her... so my mom bought me an album just for that. I think she has finally decided that three of her kids are never going to give her anything but domestic pets for "grandkids". But obviously, she is OK with that.

Hi KatieJo. Yes, my avatar was one my my little fur-babies - Buddy. She passed over the Rainbow Bridge a few years ago, but she was the sweetest cat to ever share her home with me.

Losing her was devastating, but I she was old, and I know she had had a good life. I just love that photo. Most of my cats won't sit still for a photo, and I'm not much of photographer anyway. This one photo just seemed to "happen".

My cats do so many cute things, but I think they don't like to be "caught" when they're doing them. They never ever wait for me to get the camera out - so frustrating!

Of course, that's not nearly as frustrating as the one that likes to eat PAPER! I'm a scrapbooker and a genealogist. How did I end up with a cat that loves to eat paper!

LOL, too funny. My cats get into everything. They are always attacking my ribbons which is frustrating if I'm trying to handstitch something and they're hanging off the end of it. LOL. Hope everyone's weekend is going well. I don't want to go back to work tonight. I hate third. It's start up night, big frustrations. Can't wait to be on second. Here goes week three.

Morning all!!! Welcome to all the newbies!! Things have been a bit crazy busy, but I just wanted to stop by and say hi!!

Picked up Foxy from the hospital yesterday, so I'll be staying home today to monitor her. DH is away until tomorrow, so I'm gonna spread my scrap stuff ALL over the living room and scrap the day away!!! Chloe (our cat) always knows when I'm scrapping and will come running to help, so it should be interestingly messy

Oh-and this is just my opinion-cute quirks are not only a good thing, but they are a NECESSARY thing!!

Hello! I haven't been coming to sb.com very often because I found a new online hangout, but I was excited to see this thread. I am 34, am not married, and I don't have kids. I am currently working on a BOM or two (one is on the roles I take on in my life, the other I just had an idea for will be a book of firsts), a book about my nephew (my first one, born this spring), an album covering my recent Florida trip, and, when I am ready, a book on the dog I lost in May and an ABC book on my grandpa (who I just lost last month). I just wish I had more time to scrap. Since losing my grandpa, I have tried to make more time to get those memories down and I have done a lot of pre-planning for layouts/albums....mostly in the form of journaling.
I don't swap at all here anymore and only a little at the other site I hang at, but I did join a circle journal group and just got my journal back a couple days ago...it was a neat experience!
Browsing through here, it seemed there were a lot of married ladies, I hope that there are a lot of singles like me, too.

Welcome back K! I'm sorry to hear about your Grandpa. You doing an album on him is such a great idea to remember him. I've started an album on my Grandmother who passed away almost 5 years ago. I still need to finish it. My problem is I don't finish stuff.
I am married, no children. I have my nephew too, who turned TWO in June. I have a scrapbook on him. It's fun doing kids layouts. I mostly just scrapbook my dh and I, vacations, and everyday stuff.

Kay, I am sorry for your recent losses. The pre-planning and journaling beforehand does make LOs go together much quicker once you do find the time to sit down with it all. Then you can just concentrate on the creative side. I need to do that more.

KatieJo, my Dad has started calling our dogs his granddogs. LOL and once upon a time he didn't want grandchildren, but I'm getting the impression he and my Mom have changed their minds. My Mom crocheted a round baby afghan for "whenever."

Moonflower - I know what you mean about the granddogs. If you tell our dogs that grandma and grandpa are coming they go absolutely insane. They know exactly who we are talking about and I am convinced that my mom is our little dog's favorite person ever.

just thought i'd stop in to share my grief about having to disassemble my scrapping area. i use our dining room table since we never eat there. but we are moving to a new apt on sat so it will be much easier to transfer everything if it's packed neatly into boxes. so much work to do...packing and scrapping actually. i have a photobox full of pics that need a permanent home from events long past and ones more recent. i keep saying 'once i move'....

i used to say that too susan7. and i guess to some extent it has been true. now i have my very own room to run amok in. good luck with the move and getting all settled in so you can get back to scrapping.

Hi all!! Thanks for all the well wishes for the Fox. It turned out that it was only a sprain, but since she's older (she just turned 14 in May), I get nervous when she has to get sedated. She pretty much slept the entire day (I even had to wake her up for dinner!). Sunday, she was back to her normal self.

My mom has grandpets too!! She always says "How are my grandpets doing?" Foxy also knows when I say Grandma is coming--she gets so excited!

Angela-maybe she's going to give the afghan to her granddogs for Christmas

Louisa-I hope you enjoy your scrappy day!! I finished a swap I'm in, sorted/semi-organized my stash and did a 2 page layout. Amazing how productive one can be when home alone!! Oh-and Chloe showed up to help, but when I started setting eyelets with my instant setter, she took off to the bedroom

I borrowed the first season of Grey's Anatomy to watch. There are so many people who just love that show and that's what they are so excited to talk about Friday at work, so I thought, I will give this a try. I can't just start watching it now because I don't know what's going on. Anyone here watch Grey's Anatomy?

LOL, my parents have grandkids from my sister so the pressure is off me thankfully. I am so behind on my scrapping it's not funny. My new desk I was so exciteda bout two monthes ago is buried. I can't even find a patch of metal on it. I have candles, belts, bills, and magazines scattered all over the top of it. Not to mention a numerous amount of scrap supplies never put away after use. It's kind of scary looking. Hope everyone is having a good week.

Once, I was busily stringing beads for a bracelet, while sitting on the couch, when the little monster leaped up grabbed hold of the half-finished bracelet and took off across the room. Danielle - I did checkout your Christmas cards. I'm impressed. They look nice, and you actually have them done in plenty of time so you can actually send them to someone before Christmas. Shows plenty of organization.

Mandy and Brandie, maybe a messy scrapbook room is a good thing... at least you're comfortable using it. Can't make it worse !? I have such a bad case of scrappers block!

I miss you guys! I need to come on more often. I've been scrapping and organizing my scraproom on my free time. I shouldn't have free time though because I'm in school! I have a 12-page paper I need to work on, but scrapping, sb.com and playing in my scraproom are just SO much cooler! LOL.

I've done a few new LOs though, and I'm really excited about them! I was just feeling so un-creative. LOL. Funny how we can go through those times.

Louisa: I watch Grey's Anatomy, and actually, my hubby even likes it! There are only two shows he likes... that one and CSI. But I don't think I'm going to watch those two anymore (the only two I watch... we don't have a television so we go over to a friend's house). Every show lately has just been depressing me. And every time I watch TV, I think, "I could be scrapping or doing homework right now!" LOL. I guess that's what I get from not having a television for ten months. So I'll probably just rent Grey's Anatomy or get it from Netflix once it's summer, and I'm not in school. Do you like it? It is a fun show... and addicting.

Hey Reyanna, I have a TV and cable and don't watch it. I tunr into a zombie and hate that. Brandie, my desk is hrribel messy. I just bought moer stuff yesterday and threw it on top of the piles. It's hopeless. And no I haven't scrapped hardly a thing in over a month and a half I think. Since September. I did a CJ and that was it. I have had wicked blockage too. Hope everyone is doing well. Hi Mandy!! How's the ick-shift going? Almost done yet? Foxy's doing great, thanks!! On meds for 2 weeks, then we go back for a recheck, but she acts like nothing ever happened! She's a pretty tough little thing...she's been through so much in her 14 years and she just keeps on bouncing back.

You guys with real scrap rooms are lucky - even if they ARE messy!! I don't have one, so I have to spread out in the living room when I want to scrap.....then I HAVE to put it all away again!! Except when I go to my lss to crop. Then I can spread out to my hearts content!! Still have to clean up afterwards, though.

Oh---and a trip through the gallery here does WONDERS for blockage

I'm new around here and it is nice to know that I am not alone! I am married but have no kids so all I scrap is me and my husband which makes for some pretty repetitive stuff. Luckly we we travel quite a bit so there is alwasys something new.
